Good on you Molly stand up for the rights of your child.Too bad in St.Lucia there isn't any system where the children are protected from the ills of society.Sue the ministry of education, the school and also the parent.Bullying is totally wrong in today's society and hope you and daughter get the justice both of you deserve.

This has been an ongoing problem in St.Lucia and the authorities have found it fit to just sweep it under the rug. My niece, a single mother with two children wrote to me about her then 14 year old being bullied, not by boys, but by girls in her own class.
She complained, nothing happened. Went to the Ministry office, nothing. By complaining, things got worse. The poor girl decided to stay away from school. She was so traumatized she became withdrawn and would not speak.
I called and asked to speak to her, of course uncle have always been good to her. What she revealed to me brought tears to a grown mans eyes. I started by sending money for her private lessons and she went back to school. Having lost 4 months from school she lost one year, but by private lessons she has caught up. Things changed when I threatened to Sue the teacher and the culprits. (The teacher's response - A A the other girls are from good families you know.)
So in St.Lucia, if you are from good (well off) family, it's o.k. for you to bully others who are not that well off.
The last report, the damage was done but she is coping and continuing with the private lessons. I will not give up on her.
SOMETHING MUST BE DONE BY THE AUTHORITIES TO PUT AN END TO THAT.
The teachers know full well, but are intimidated by the parents of the bullies themselves.

Is saint Lucia a JUNGLE COUNTRY. UNCIVILIZED AND BACKWARD.

You all seemed to be doomed.

So sorry to hear the mother's plight. Bullying should not be tolerated under any circumstances. However I am disappointed in how the story is presented. In the interest of balance reporting there should at least be attempts to get statements from other parties involved.

Too many 'single' parents. A mother will never control an unruly child like a decent father. And there's not enough of them about. Stop having kids you can't look after.

Now, other may perhaps find fault with what you wrote, above, but it is the complete truth.

The chief education officer will deceide after the bullied doughter has been examined by a specialists...
And if Molly Allan dont have the money to see this specialists for her doughter, what happen then?
It happen on school property therefore government must come forward and should offer the doctorfees in advance!!!
