Wow! Jeremie street is getting some development! It would be nice to see that whole area from the Governement buildings to Jeremie Street to the top of Bridge Street get a nice new makeover.

It will do wonders for property values in the area and boost my family land value there. Heh heh.

It's to see some development taking place in Castries. One thing though Castries is a very small city, so i think the Government should be looking at going up higher with buildings instead of wider. I hope to see the day when Castries doesn't have any more CDCs but office buildings and Shops. This is a beautiful city that needs a major redevelopment plan.

It is nice to see that the CCC has done such a wonderful job.
This is now the property of ST. LUCIANS.I am very happy to see this.
This is much better than selling your PRIME PROPERTY to cruise ship companies who would proceed to milk your island and turn it into another St maarten where locals and poor own nothing.
my blessings to you Vaughn and to you Irving.
when next i am in St.Lucia we will talk...I Look forward to seeing some more Government initiatives like this one.Who knows if such a trend continues where locals move to OWN AND DEVELOP St.Lucian property,I may even invest some good money.
On another note it would be a good idea to keep BOTH AIRPORTS.Who wants to live in a house with no back door?
Consider Puerto Rico which keeps ALL of its airports and all are profitable.Consider Brazil,Nigeria,Ghana etc these places KEEP their infrastructure and natural resources and develop them
The government does not have to run both but can rent one IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY .However renting is not a very good choice. In other words if i want to ultimately own your house my first step would be to rent it and the next step would be to get you on my side till i finally own your house..... after which i can tell you to go to hell.Get to point??
My best wishes to the Technocrats in all the ministries who do such good work but are hardly thanked...i mean what would a politician do without them...mmmmm?

Hey Zeigy: I'm OK with you on everything but on the 2 airports idea. Puerto Rico and Jamaica need 2 airports because of their size; but Hewanorra airport is more than enought for us. Is mostly LIAT and American eagle that use George Charles. About a dozen airlines use Hewanorra but mostly on weekends. For the rest of the week Hewannorra EMPTY. Vigie subsidizing Hewannora. If we fix the highway good, you could make Henwanorra in 40 minutes from Castries and an hour from Gros-Islet. Zeigy, a small country like St. Lucia cannot afford the expense of customs, police, firemen and air traffic control at 2 airports. We could put the police to better use fighting crime and put the customs on the docks so the poor people don't have to pay Customs oficers overtime just to clear a barrel.
