No doubt she will be a good judge but I think her voice is more important and powerful on the world stage instead of just America. The world needs people like her and she's more comfortable in the public spotlight.
Justice Stevens'impending retirement from the supreme court could shift the court to the right since his was the voice of liberalism on the bench, last year Obama nominated Sonia Sotomayor a choice that many regarded as a no-brainer since it appeased the rapidly increasing number of latino and women constituents in America and also silenced his critics who were afraid of alienating their large latino and women constituents by mounting any opposition to the nomination, in that respect it was easier than what he will be faced with in choosing Stevens'successor. He has to avoid any shift to the right. In that regard Hilary Clinton could be a safe choice, however it is still unclear as to whether she would accept it, since confirmation hearings could be blistering especially from the GOP factions on the senate judiciary although I am sure she will be confirmed I am not certain that Hilary Clinton might want to subject herself to a process that will invariably become open season on her husband's administration and some of the pardons handed down by him.Additionaly this being an election year could be a determining factor in making his choice moreso if he wants to maintain commanding leads in the house and senate.
