Well Done, Voice Reporter! St. Lucians must be vigiliant. Our economy cannot absorb another Rochamel fiasco.

Having examined the questions posed in that Article, and calling for responses from Government, it appears that the Writer is fully aware of several critical issues involving this latest bombshell.

Given the issues outlined, one is tempted to think that those hooligans and rascals, for want of a better description, obviously recognise that they will not stand a chance at winning the next general election, and therefore there is an obvious determination to do as much pilferage, is that the right word? I cannot determine that it is corruption just yet. These fellars seem to be mad!St. Lucia is stinking overseas. Stop the crap in that country. No-one wants to invest a blind penny in Saint Lucia. It is getting from bad, to worse, to worst. It is about time these politicians from all sides get some jail time. Item D of that Article is the area which will further expose a hell of alot. St. Lucie, MI RORO. MI PATAY BLAG!

In as much as this article illustrates the slick and 'sleezy' operation of the Stephenson King government, looking for answers to the issues of concern is like beating on a dead horse.
Questions!.......Answers!...it's not going to happen. We are incensed in deep, deep doodoo.

The ironic thing is PM King is hell bent on playing a nice guy role and he is as culpable as Rufus, Richard, Guy (both) and the rest of the gang in their corruptionl. St.Lucians please let us see this man for who he is. He has played with y'all psychy and you'll there believing he is so good. Prime Minister King needs to go...his cherry ride on top with his uneducated backside needs to get a rude awakening.

the Foreign Affairs Minister will be rented for 150k per month for 5 years. These fellas just giving that drug dealer Chereiki money, thats why they wanted to kill the PS in commerce to give him the $7M worth of concessions. I hate this government, damn UWP!

Instead of sitting and talking idly, why dont we have visit www.stlucialabourparty.org and objectively assess if they are the better government for the future or not

Anonymous said...

We do not have to visit any site to know that the SLP is a better government for our future. All we have to do is to visit St Lucia, go around the island, speak to HONEST people, see for ourself the transformation of St Lucia in terms of development created by the SLP in just 9 years, and your questions will be answered. Anybody who is against SLP returning to office, just love St Lucia to stay backwards and does not want us to progress, just like the Compton and the UWP had us for more than 30 years.

Good analytical work, VOICE reporter. That's the kind of journalism St. Lucia needs to help the people of the country discuss ISSUES critically. The country is at its lowest ebb among all the major Donor Countries in the international Community, among others. At the Diplomatic Level, officials of the High Commissions and Embassies are completely embarassed. There is absolutely nothing good to write to the Head Office about since January 2007.And that has absolutely nothing to do with LABOUR PARTY or any other PARTY for that matter. St. Lucians MUST stop that naked polarisation of that country.Move away from discussing things purely along political lines, this is unhealthy for the country. For example, where the LABOUR PARTY between 1997 and 2006, undertook a number of projects presumably, on the surface of course, to make it look like they were helping the issue of crime, the justice system, the police, the prisons and so forth, the fact of the matter is, the blind supporters of the LABOUR PARTY if they are truly smart, and want to set a new tone for their PARTY, must firstly recognise that the PARTY also on those same issues, made some major and serious mistakes, which all crystallized towards the Party's last term in Office, and was a major contributing factor to the PARTY's DOWNFALL. For example. BORDELAIS expenditure was questionable, the then Accountant General must surely remember this. Yes, Police and Fire Stations were built, but what actually happened to the re-engineering of these institutions operations where a better output and positive impact could have been realised for the benefit of the people of St. Lucia. No such thing happened. And this is why at this point in time the country is reeling from what were hanging effects, exacerbated of course, by the recklessness of current government operations. So unless and until critical analysis of the issues confronting the country is discussed without all the bull-crap hype of LABOUR vs UWP, St. Luicans and St. Lucia will remain in the DARK HOLE.

By the way on another note, the bankers in St. Lucia, are well aware that the revenues that find their way to the banks in the name of business operations, cannot be properly accounted for in terms of the current recession, as well as previously.

let's hope good sense prevails in St. Lucia. Investors, that is, legitimate business investors are very wary.

It is clear that A&M are to significantly the finance the UWP election campaign.

Having failed to expeditiously award the HAT project to A&M the Cabinet intend to or has already awarded multi million dollar road contracts, via direct purchase, to A&M/Herzog (reminds me of the DIWI/CCC situation with the SLP, but at least the SLP tendered the projects and not hide the awards under the direct purchase arrangement).

A&M needed CO Williams to bail them out of the Allen Bousquet Highway project and then A&M failed to pay CO Williams for over 6 months.

Herzog have been brought in to actually do the works while A&M front the consortium to collect the payments.

The questions have been asked now the Government must respond.

This is simply great journalism!!! St.Lucians it's time to realize that King is definitely not the man for the future; not the man for progressive change; not a man for with leadership qualities; and definitely not the nice man some persons are painting him to be. Truth be told, we need to have King and his men on the path to knowledge, skill and proper training--demand that they set the right example for the youth and others by going to school and standing for honesty and truth even if it means losing on their profit margin from untendered projects.

It is indeed quite a sad situation for the island of St.Lucia. I am taken back to really believe that this government will be putting St. Lucia and Lucians through this and Lucians will stand by and accept. People this move will demand blood from St. Lucians in the near future. That is exactly what cause Haiti to be at the position it was before January this year. Dirty political moves which will hunt Lucians for a very long time. And the question is when, if we ever will St.Lucia get over this nasty political doings. St.Lucia up foe sale. Watch out lucians, those who are selling St. Lucia belly is already full and will still benefit from the sale. It is time for election.

The LPM, PROVIDES a new alternative
