AG Simpson or whatever your name is, you have a ginormous ego, the size of the world. Whatever your agenda is, you will only make yourself the butt of jokes. Think carefully before you make a well meaning idea cause you to trainwreck in a catastrophic way.
I cannot blame you for your expression of interest in the constituency where you reside. However, I think certain points should be made. I do not believe it is in the business of the MP to look after street lights. I'm certain there are hundreds if not thousands of them in Castries South - LUCELEC has staff to deal with that specifically. I do not also believe that Mr. Simpson truly believes that the "$5000" salary is anywhere near sufficient to do anything for the huge demands, including financial demands, made by constituents, particularly when the welfare requirements of Castries South are so enormous.
AG Simpson, you perhaps do not realize it, but you come out as just another BLUFFER, the same sort of attitude that you are trying to pin on Robert Lewis. In your article you say that you liked and respected Robert so much, yet, instead of writing this letter to him, then giving him a chance to respond to you, you take your pathetic little attempt to DIS the man straight to the Voice. What kind of principle is that? Mind you, I'm not trying to defend Robert Lewis, I hardly even know the man, but your case seems to be a very unprincipled one, given the way you have started and stated it. All men should be given a chance to respond to constituents concerns, before they get dragged to the Voice and the STAR. I believe that this is the honest way to go. Oh, but you are an Independent Candidate, so you have started to throw MUD in people's faces. Good luck to you AG. One love. Pimpa.
The only persons showing neglect here is the Government of St.Lucia. They have a mandate to take care of the entire country and not just the constituencies which they won. I do hope that people realise that only as another General Election is near that our Government has deemed it necessary to "fix" things within our communities. Are we not worthy throughout the 5 years?!?! I am a resident of Castries South also and I am very aware of the silly politics that is being played in order to tarnish the credibility of our MP. However, people must recognise the Government's agenda for what it truly is. If they cared about Castries South, they would be present throughout their term and address the problems that Dr.Lewis has outlined and articulated from day one!
