LOYAL CITIZEN, if you were so loyal you would not think it so right that the Leader of the Oppsition brought up that crap talk about dual citizenship where it concerns the members of the LPM, but on the other side of your you-know-what cheek, you feel disgusted because it is your view that that same Leader of the Opposition, is attemting to derail Allen Chastanet. It is people like you who have St. Lucia reeling by its balls, and many St. Lucians don't care to be in St. Lucia. Something is wrong or right according to your thinking, based on whom it impacts.

That issue Kenny Anthony brought up has no place in St. Lucia. Educated idiots, mimic other idiots, without thinking for themselves.St. Lucians of any good sense just won't be impressed, whether it affects Jack, Jill, Brer Anancy or Winnie the Pooh.We ain't for that. Dual citizenship has absolutely nothing to do with less love or loyalty to any St. Lucian's country. We are not going backwards. Go back with that.

Brilliant article. This points to the exact sentiments which I heard Mr. Prudent express on the Dave Samuel show yesterday.
It cannot be about the country. It has all to do with the party, and the SLP's desire to eliminate competition. They want to win an election by default.
I hope this opens the eyes of Prudent and the LPM, including all St Lucians who love their country.

Ah boy! Labour throught they were hurting T Chase with this. They have open a whole can of worms. They can't put the ginny back in the box. This thing might end up blowing back in the faces. How smart can they be politically?

So if my many St. Lucian compatriots left St. Lucia to better themselves, and in the process the UK, Canada Or America found them fit enough to give them their country's priviledge to be a citizen, and to enjoy all the rights and priviledges of that country, instead of living out there like bats, afraid to come out during the day, and can only come out at nights, they should reject it?

So if St. Lucia accepts citizenship from another country does that mean he loves St. Lucia less? THAT HE IS LESS LOYAL? THAT HE IS LESS SENTIMENTAL? THAT ALL HIS LOVED ONES HE LEFT BEHIND IN sT. LUCIA HAVE VANISHED? THAT HIS NAVEL STRINGS BURIED IN ST. LUCIA WERE THROWN OUT OF St. Lucia?

The more I ponder on Kenny's stupidity, the more I am convinced that he always struck me as one who crammed to pass exams, collect certifcates, but has no natural intelligence or smartness. If one examines the Helenair Affair, the Rochamel Affair, the Helenites Affair, the NCA Affair, one can see a pattern of someone who does not realize he does not know, that he does not know, what he does not know, and in the process, is hellbent on making others around him believe he knows what he does not know. His Cabinet colleagues knew that very well. This is precisely why he lost the 2006 elections and lost his majority in such a short space of time. Kenny has always been a camouflage. And I don't mean to be mean. He must get to realize what he projects. And it is not good for the Labour Party. In my view he thinks just like Stephenson King, stupid. He just has these certificates behind his name, but they think alike. Except in his case he is a dictator. He still lives like the plantation times. He left his wonderful wife to marry another------, like himself. He is an idiot.Intellectual fool, of the higheat order.Get away you idiot, you will surely suffer the wrath of the people of St. Lucia. With all your loyalty, why did you run away, at the time you were Minister of Education? And returned when it suited you fine, with no struggle to win? Why you are so haung-up on Doctorates? You stupid idiot.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. You people are such hypocrites!! The man you all attack surely can spell simple words like 'genie' not 'ginny' and 'hung'not 'haung.' Who is the bigger idiot now????

Some people take on dual citizenship to guarantee that the contributions that they have made to US social security system is returned to them when they retire. No more. No less.

The issue with people like Chastenet needs more sober analysis.

Some like me are totally dismayed when in the 21st century some people are making what they consider to be thoughtful arguments for the retention of status quo by having the likes of Kenny and Allen as LEADERS gearing to become PM of a country that is 90 percent black.

This is in contrast to the simple fact that they do not belong fully even the remaining 10 percent.

St. Lucia's love affair with the 'baychay' goes all the way back to colonial era when St. Lucians chose to hide the white French planters from their English enemies. Lucians are fully brainwashed.

Today, some people cannot see that these Khaki mulatto people have NEVER had the interests of the majority black population at heart. Chastenet now has a total grip on the PRICES existing in the monopoly created with his supermarket business.

Do we want a greater chokehold by handing him the most powerful job on the island too as PM? We know that Stephenson King has been operating as a House Nigger for another Khaki chap, Saint John Compton

The man has shown with a lot of evidence that his interests lie with Buthch Stewarts of the mercantile community. The tourist arrivals figures he is so proud of, largely benefit his partners in business.

The man cannot speak patios. He could not remember that he had given another partner concessions that amount to a free flow and transfer of wealth from the Lucian treasury into his partner's pockets at the Appeal's Court hearing.

Can you trust him to design an economic system then, that would remove St. Lucian dependence on the great number of largely menial and low-paying jobs in the hotel industry?

Kenny too, has shown that he needed a trophy wife to go with new position as PM.

Such people cannot be legitimate leaders of 90 percent black St. Lucia. Their life experiences, their goals and their aspirations are not similar to those of the vast majority of St. Lucian blacks.

It is time for Massa Day to end on this island.

Don't blame people who cannot write a comment without spelling mistakes. It may well be a reflection of work of people like John Compton who got Bousquet to keep on talking about building 'fearty' schools but without any interest in what was taught.

Kenny in an interview suggested that because he was higher an better off and more respected in the legal community, he had given up on education. When he became PM he had no solutions for making St. Lucians better off and living more independent and fuller wealthier lives.

Just like someone said sometime ago, he even graduated racially to a white wife.

The descendants of the plantocracy have shown their true colours. Now Chastenet wants to continue where his kith and kin left off. Like his relative in the Planning Unit, he has no interest in the advancement of black people. Today, he is trying to claim the leadership role in a country that is so overwhelming black.

But the sad thing is that the likes of Stephenson King as with the other Uncle Toms in this country, he will let him if he could.

Dr Anthony did not put the laws in the St lucia constitution, so why blame him if he point out the law to us? The laws are there and they must be followed and respected. He is the duly eLected political opposition leader of St lucia, and he know the laws of the country. He is not as dull as our present PM, who do not even know his head from his elbow. Try blaming him will not solve anything. Imagine #1 is calling the laws of St Lucia crap, o boy, Dr Anthony did not write the laws. If you all want the laws changed, all you have to do is to ask your incompetent government to amend the constitution, that is if they have the know how to do that, knowing that they cannot even pass a proper motion in the house without the help of Dr Anthony. You all so called UWPEEEES could jump high, jump low, blame Dr Anthony for everything, but he is there to see St lucia laws is being follows by these law breakers. Toxido is an example.

this is indeed a sensitive issue. However it seems foolish for someone who has dual citizenship to run for political office in st lucia. If he won it would mean that he was technically of a divided mind and heart. His actions could put him in potentially difficult circumstances regarding his or her motives.
However PRACTICALLY (bear with me in this seeming contradiction)he or she is a Lucian when on Lucian soil and accordingly subject to Lucian law,and when in the other country he or she would be subject to the laws of the other country.
The impact would clearly be in the spirits and hearts of his political supporters, leading of course to supporters of divided loyalties since they are attached their political representative's respective nationalities.A nation with a divided heart is a nation easily conquered...domestic reasons.
If we lucians are trying to build one nation, then the unity of heart and spirit is paramount, accordingly aspirants to political office in St.Lucia should be only of st.Lucian nationality, and in the days ahead as Caricom gels into a political entity then of course local political aspirants would be caricom nationality.

There is no where for Kenny to hide on this one. He suffers from mad cow and knows how to put his foot in his mouth. All those apologist for Kenny can't even see the bigger picture. Poor jab.

The irony of the situation is that all three parties have politicians with dual citizenship. It's like pelting a stone at a glass house.

HULLA, all these people who talk all their nonsense on this board know the truth very well, they are just letting political color to blind them. I am sure if that was said by the UWP they would be saying something else. That is how we are in St Lucia we criticize according to who says what. We do not criticize on merit.

U write as though Kenny's papishow has any bearings on whether those people from LPM will contest the next election. They are not foreigners. They are Saint Lucians with options. I hope they defy Kenny and run. This is their country and there isn't a thing in hell that Kenny can do. Kenny only has the power over SLP. No way in hell can he dictate to any other party.

Hmmmm.... you do have a point Anonymous, but the matter does merit discussion and action now that it is in the open

And did we conveniently forget Sir John saying the country would never be run by a Barnard??? Is that not racist??? It has become all to apparent that Kenny is a gigantic threat to some. Whether he says something or keeps silent, some idiot somewhere will oppose just for the sick twisted pleasure they derive from it.

We must avoid getting irritable at each other, and look this issue squarely in the eye. So that we who can assist can help our fellow Lucians see the issue clearly.

If there is such an idiotic piece of legislation on our books, then I say get it out. Kenny Anthony during his several years knew it was there, such an important matter, and never took it to the people for discussion and action.

So I am therefore not impressed with his hype now. What the rat says when he's up in the roof, is not what he says when he on the ground.

What any right-thinking St. Lucian who cares for their country will support is that you must be a BORN St. Lucian. Not some foreign born individual who lives here and subsequently acquires citizenship. That's not what we are talking about here. For example, folks like the Syrians, Germans, Chinese and so forth living here. No Sir. This is not what we in St. lucia are talking about.

To be pellucid, we are saying St. Lucians who were BORN here, but later lived abroad, and obtained citizenship, obviously for the benefits, rights and priviledges.

One blogger raised a point about divided-loyalty.Lwas, regulations are man-made and therefore can be dovetailed/twigged to do what is required.

If for example, Mr. Chou, is born and raised here, or for that matter was BORN in St. lucia, but at the age of three months his Mama took him to St. croix and he became a United States Citizen, later in life entered politics in St. Lucia and became Prime minister.

Say for argument sake, the United States Government wants to have a particular piece of legislation or policy passed in sweet Helen.

It is a matter for the Prime minister, to let the people know, where it is a matter that puts him in a bind with his US citizenship. The rule may require that he abstain from the decision in Cabinet, or whatever apporpriate measure is put in place.

If for whatever reason that Prime minister, born in St. lucia, and holds US. Citizenship, is attempting to put St. lucia and St. Lucians at a disadvantage, then the matter is clear. He evidently does not put St. lucia and St. lucians first, and therefore, he must get out.

This is why in this new millenium, we must as a nation begin to think for ourselves and do the things which will push our country up and above, not down and below the pack. Therefore, we must as a important issue seek to ensure that Parliamentarians can be recalled, that inquiries before the Parliament can be heard concerning questionable government officials, not necessarily where all evidence is there, but where the general public is unnerved, concerned and restless about a government official behaviour whilst in Public Office. We must put things properly for that they can work effectively. Have you not seen that the Public service Integrity Act, is toothless. Have you not observed that the Commissions of inquiry, notwithstanding the millions of our dollars spend, never sends to date, no public official to jail? We must put the necessary measures in place to govern how our governments ought to engage in the operations of Government, effectively. We have had for decades, too much cocomacackry which has continued to kill this country slowly. Let's get things going better for our country, and pull the best folks together. I believe we need to start electing the best candidates to office, and move away from that killing spirit of Party at any cost. St. lucia will be better off for it. And I really suspect some healing will begin, hatred diminish, and more love and tolerance will exist.

Only crooks and criminals, drug traffickers and the like, and others who do not care one iota about the people of St. lucia, but are hellbent on maintaining the old worthless, dirty agendas within the archaic and hatred-sowing system, will fight to keep it so, to eternity. lucians let us get up and get.

Well said ,I believe John Compton would have been responsible for steering this piece of legislation in parliament. If so, what do we expect. he did not seem to have a stated place of birth, to start with. Some say Canouan, some say somewhere on the sea between St. vincent and st. lucia. Nevertheless, came to st. lucia and treated St' luicans generally like dirt save for his chosen group. He treated the press, which represents the people with disdain.

It would be interesting if the historians could tell us why Compton said that he will see to it that St. Lucia is never run by a Barnard. Anything to do with any rascality that may have been conducted on the plantations, that should be cleared out, since the leader of the opposition is holding public office. It is in his interest to do so. But why would he be held accountable for the sins of his forefathers. As far as I am concern for the lack of respect he showed to women, he should have never been around a long, long time ago.

If the law was passed during george charles day, maybe he did not have much say, with the British in charge at the time.

People let us be objective in our discussion, let us not jump up with our emotions. The constitution is the primary laws that governs any country, it was drafted and ratified on gaining independence. Some of the laws might be out dated, but a government cannot just for their own advantage change the constitution. There are many guidelines to be followed and there is also a process, there must be consultation with the public, it has to be tabled in parliament, it has to be debated etc, etc. That process takes very a long time. Some people are saying Dr Anthony had nine years to change the constitution. I want to ask them which laws should he have changed specifically, because it is a very big document with many many laws. Supposing he had changed some laws and he did not change the law about citizenship, would we be satisfied? Some of us do not know what we want or we are just are plainly bias, because when the SLP changed THEIR CONSTITUTION to allow a leader to serve more than two terms, these same people started criticizing Dr Anthony, calling him all kinds of names like dictator etc. I believe some people is feeling threatened by Dr Anthony, they are afraid of the man because of the type of development he started in St Lucia. We were ahead of all the other caribbean in terms of development and that in it self will KILL their beloved incompetent party, so they are afraid.

Bla, bla, bla....Kenny has no more luster left. The shine you see is the shine of a tired man who has nothing more to offer St Lucia but crap! Let's see how he recovers from this latest antistlucian campaign.

Anonymous said...

I can tell St Lucia is changing. It's a sad picture that way back in 1995 Mr. Kenny was like a savior to the country. He was by far the most popular politician on the island. All of a sudden a large number of St Lucians no longer want to hear his name. These days it's no longer popular or advisable to associate with or even promote Mr. Kenny. What is going on St Lucia? What has Mr Kenny done to deserve this? I really feel sorry for the man.

Anonymous said...

I find it very strange for one to say Dr Anthony is a tire man and having nothing more to offer after just serving nine years. I wander how did he or she felt of we electing an 82 year old man as our PM? Was he not more tired than Dr Anthony? What has an 82 year old have to or can offer?

To the other person who spoke about Dr Anthony popularity as being low, is plain wrong. Those people who are against Dr Anthony now was against him then. A lot of people have realized that it was a mistake voting out Dr Anthony and replacing him with something worse than him. Some people are quiet on the matter because of their jobs but we will see the results on election day. Dr Anthony is still very popular in St Lucia, and he will return as our next PM. I will say it again, we should not feel sorry for Dr Anthony, because he is not the one suffering. We should feel sorry for ourselves and the poor people of St Lucia who either cannot find a job or who is working for peanuts and is bearly making ends meet.

As Amerindian, if I should go abroad in search of an education and a better level of living than the mercantile community and the mulatto/khaki group were willing to give me, should I try to secure my pension rights and benefits, which St. Lucia did not really have, and become a citizen there, should I be debarred by laws created by the British enslavers and John Compton, and be kept from representing St. Lucia in the parliament as PM?

The issue is not only political enfranchisement, which for us is no more than a vote every 5 years. It is also one of economic enfranchisement, taking charge of one's economic life independent of the revolving gangs of the Khaki elite, 3 piece suit and all that.

Why do you think they brought in Africans as slaves? Cheap labour. Why through the years did they NOT educate the descendants of the African slaves to do much more than just vote for their kind, and by that their special and business interests?

When you voted for the likes of Mc Vain, Mallet, Compton, and the Khaki elite, did you think that you were voting for the economic enfranchisement of the over 90% black people who slave for the khaki elite in this nation?

Our Uncle Toms have handed over complete part of the commercial sector to one man, Chastenet.

If Chastenet is voted in, he will just give another Khaki fella control of the entire hotel sector, his friend, Butch Stewart. Do you think that BS has any interest in making St. Lucians be better than house maids and cleaners in his hotels?

What have the two of them been up to lately? They are very happy providing DEAD-END and low-paying jobs to St. Lucians. Will St. Lucians ever see an improvement in poverty on the island? Not with the likes of Kenny and Chastenet, and the rest of the Khaki elite in the shadows.

Kenny has no interest but to continue where he left off. He allowed, with all his so-called scholarship, the development of TWO ghettos in Castries. Law degrees are not the same thing as practical commonsense.

Like Compton, he provided minimal level education to produce a large pool of unskilled, dependent, servile and low class cheap labour in St. Lucia.

That imposter kenny, like Chastenet has not said what he will do differently that will change the vast pool of unskilled and uneducated St. lucians that cannot make money in globalised world. Such khaki-coloured persons disconnected from the experiences of our black people, can never ever, reflect and therefore represent black people's goals, dreams and aspirations, to break the cycle of poverty from a life other than that of the working poor.

Such khaki-coloured people, the McVains, the Mallets, the Comptons, the Chastenets, etc, simply intend that black St. lucians remain a servile underclass, working hard all the days of their lives and at the end have nothing to show for it.

Tell them that our young people are having none of that. They will drugs instead.

This is such utter bull shit, it should not even be entertained. What threat do St. Lucians who were born and raised in St. Lucia and who emigrated to improved their lot in life pose to the country if allowed to contest elections. None, no threat at all. Of all the constitutional provisions that need to be changed or enforced, that is the one we are wasting time with? Cox and company should find something to do that will really benefit the country not hurt it. What if the majority of Lucians in the diaspora decide to return will St. Lucia be able to sustain itself, employ them etc? Hell no so stop the nonsense and allow proud Lucians to return and serve with or without a passport that belongs to another nation. Besides its not as though they cannot get around it anyway. What, St. Lucia will demand that the US tell them who is a citizen or demand that St. Lucians turn in their US passports? In your mouth. Its the property of the US and Lucia has no control, so why try to enforce a law that cannot be enforced.

Anonymous said...

Blogger Of September 11,at 11.42am, I fully agree with your comments. this is the way we the majority of St. lucians must go.My comments as Blogger #1 and Blogger # 4 expresses those sentiments. The rest of our people must see the light. Kenny was in bed in exactly the same way as John Compton was with the small ruthless elit business class, the so-called bourgeois. He had his Cabinet Ministers to be like little boys, just like Compton had Mallet, Lansiquot et al. Kenny in a sense ended up messing up the Labour Party. He even tried looking for a woman trying to look like Janice Compton. But she can't. Kenny seems to have suffered with similar hang-ups like Compton growing up. There were too many things Kenny should and could have done for the people of this country when we gave him our mandate, but he was too busy kissing the butt of the mercantile class. Why you think Mario michel pissed off. Kenny has only himself to blame. He was given more than chances to prove himself, but with the likes of Scott and petrus, he had to sink. Yet it apperas to all that he does not believe he has had some failings with the nation, so how can he then be better.

Anonymous said...

Every day Kenny opens his mouth, he is showing how so much MORE disconnected and irrelevant he is to the problems facing this nation. By keeping on this trend, he is definitely on course to becoming unelectable and an historical footnote.

Now, after he clearly stated in an interview, that he has no time for the exposure he gained in education, he is up there and more comfortable with the law elite.

A growing pool of underemployed, underemployed and unemployable YOUNG people are looking for leadership regarding their desperate economic plight. Yet he turns his skills and attention to the matter of dual citizenship instead.

Well, it proves that regarding unemployment he has absolutely no useful ideas. His best is behind him.

The word on the ground has it that this man did just one course on economics at university level. So on economic matters he comes up time and time again both empty handed and empty brained. The PM and himself are at the same level of knowledge regarding this area. Yon pah voh lot.

The young people of this country are crying out for a steady income today, and into the future. Listen. We have his and the SLP's deafening silence on this. He has no answers. Nothing new, innovative and relevant have been forthcoming from him.

The young people are asking for bread, and just like Richard Federicks, when his constituents asked for him help, he keeps on giving the frustrated young people stones, instead.

Just like a carpenter with just one tool to work with, which is his hammer, man ... everything for Kenny, every problem, and every issue looks like a nail.

The man is so closed and so narrow-minded, that if he were to fall face forward on a PIN, all that would flow from his brains would be LAWS.

Tell the SLP, that people like LaCorbs and Kenny do not reflect the goals of the black population. The colonial period has long gone and it is not coming back!

Are you delusional? Or just plain nuts?? Kenny Anthony is a gigantic threat and all you flambeaus know it! Some try to make him look like the biggest fool; but that is only a tactic used to play on the minds of the lesser educated and ignorant folks among us. But at the end of the day flambeaus everywhere are shaking in their boots; hoping against all hope that the people will forget their past misdeeds and vote them in. There is a saying, 'you must learn from your mistakes.' And boy have we ever! See how quickly Sir John met his demise? Something that has started so badly is doomed to end disasterously. Mark my words.

Anonymous said...

The jackass who is blaming sir john for that law is really stupid. The constitution was given to us by the british. For you to change the constitution you need 67% of the population voting yes. In St. Vincent it was tried last year but failed.

Anonymous said...

Yes for some of us NOBODY should blame our perfect, sinless and Godly man called Sir John, they even voted him back to office at 82, just to die in office so that we could end up in a mess which passes as our government today. A man who was not even a St lucian, who left St Lucian in such a mess and darkness, is seen by SOME St Lucians as a God and a perfect man. These same persons see all kinds of faults in their fellow St Lucia leader who did his best to put us on the world map and to clean up the mess left by Compton.

Anonymous said...

The jackass who criticized the other 'jackass' for blaming Saint John Compton, a foreigner and naturalized St. Lucian, for imposing legislation barring real born and bred St. Lucians with their naval strings buried in St. Lucia, from being MPs and PMs in their OWN country, is just another one of our MEGA jackasses.

That jackass too, just like the very saintly John Compton before him, does not understand the meaning of the word INDEPENDENCE.

After a constitution is handed down to you, you modify it to give the people you are supposed to be serving, the best future they can have!

All our PMs up to this point were interested in pushing the interests of the mercantile elite who funded their election campaigns. The people were fooled time and time again.

That is why Kenny created two drug-infested, gun-toting, trigger-happy, thug controlled ghettos.

Saint John Compton was just content like Kenny in creating a huge mass of poorly skilled workers to work and work and die poor in dead-end jobs slaving for the mulatto, white and BAYCHAY elite.

Kenny is just as irrelevant to a brighter future for St. Lucian as was Saint John Compton, our clueless Stephenson Kings, our dumb Marcuses and Guy Josephs, our esteemed jailbirds in parliament, our drug barons, and the new and upcoming IMPOSTERs, manipulators, and new monopolist slave masters, like Allen Chastenet. All these people are traitors to the black aspirations, blockers to the removal of slave wages, and dead-end menial jobs for the masses, and exploitative supermarket prices in St. Lucia.

Did you see the rapacious and manipulative dark shadows who are funding this coming election campaign lately in the local press?

They want to turn St. Lucia into another Jamaica. The nitwit DJs talk like Jamaicans, and play Jamaican music. Now,just as the foolish blacks in Jamaica, they then go ahead and elect very people who have very little connection to their goals, and aspirations and who do not at all even look like most of them. How stupid can you be after years of independence!

LPM to this day, is the ONLY party that has EVER put out a comprehensive plan of action to put ALL St. lucians to work and to remove the curse of neglect, and unemployment from our majority black population and to replace this with equality of opportunity for all. It is the only party also that can deliver this. Kenny is impishly thinking of making more of his legal mischief as usual, and will forcefeed his labour code.

How many people can be removed from unemployment and poverty with his labour code and his HUGE legal victories? He has had several victories. You count.

The turnaround and anti-victimization party is here. We are glad to know that we, St. Lucians who are for St. Lucians have a real choice with dem fellas in the LPM

Why the heck did he PAPA JAB bring the other wretch Giraudy to london with him, presumably as the most learned lawyer, more than him PAP JAB. The whole idea was that any crap placed in the bloody constitution, would be requested to be removed in the interest of the niggers in St. lucia. But PAPA JAB, Giraudy, Chastanet, Floissac, Bristol et al, had no interest in that. They liked it so. it did good for them so, and still doing good for them so. So what the hecK.That is why if lucians know and understand well what is good for them, they will never make the mistake to allow CHASTANET and rest of the money makers/rakers on the backs of the average St. lucian, to control both the money and the politics. so we cannot put allen chastanet anywhere near our ploitics. compton slipped him and the notorious croo- D'Auvergne into the Cabinet and we were unaware until that morning, but no such mistake taking place again, otherwise there shall be mutiny on the St. lucian bounty. No allen Chastanet in Lucian ploitics, otherwise CRAPAUD SMOKE WE PIPE, RIGHT HERE IN ST. LUCIA.

If T-Chas must go, then Kenny should the first to go. They both have white parents. One of them a Bernard in charge of the Slave plantation in the country, the other a Chastenet, interested in commerce and making money. They are bad for the country if you think that only one is bad.

Kenny like Compton is equally guilty for the problems of the consitution. Kenny thinks he slick put the oil on his back has already tried.
