That's OK but the Cruise Industry is a farce, it competes directly with the true Tourism Industry. A cruise ship is like an Island floating on the ocean and everything is cheaper on board. T
he taxi drivers are the ones who are gonna get hurt since they are the only ones really making money.

Do we have madmen who write such tripe as Anonymous #1.

Year after year while driving to/from Soufriere during the peak cruise season I can count dozens if not hundreds of taxis, vans and buses heading down the coast. Everyone of them stops to buy lunch or some souvenir. Hundreds of US dollars per vehicle exchange hands.

I have seen University graduates in other countries hustling for the cruiseship dollar as tour guides, etc yet here in St. Lucia we EXPECT that we must be given everything on a platter.

Rather than giving thanks and praises for how lucky we are to have hundreds of thousands of cruiseship passengers come to St. Lucia every year all we can do is complain because all we do is see ourselves as poor unfortunate victims of the world.

The world is changing St. Lucia and this attitude is causing us to be left behind. It will become much worst with this attitude.

You'll find mostly (not all) broke people on cruise ships because they can't afford a real vacation.

A real vacation? What is that exactly? I swear, the mentality of some people just bamboozles me.
