Do Cheaper Oil Prices Mean Cheaper Gas Prices?

The details of the methodology used to calculate the price should be common knowledge. What are they hiding? What are they hiding behind?

Let's have some honesty and transparency for a change in St. Lucia for a chane. Good Lord!

Sorry everyone! This is not how it works. Prices for oil, food, and everything else are controlled by sources UNSEEN by all of us - we only FEEL the STRAIN and PAIN they FORCE on ALL our lives.

On occasion, the media will tell us it's the market 'speculators' that control our prices. THESE REPORTS ARE ALL LIES! When the Libyan unrest began the tyrannical bandits of big busuness jumped on that opportunity to up oil prices, although Saudi Arabia immediately informed the world that it would make up for any oil deficits - which it immediately did! But the media and speculators ignored Saudi Arabia's words and went straight ahead and increased ALL oil prices. The big trick they are playing on us is to gradually increase oil prices to eventually soar well beyond US$5 per gallon; and to fool us completely, they increase prices, for example, by 25%, then a few months later decrease it by 5 or 10percent. When we get that decrease we feel 'lucky' for the relief and quickly forget or simply don't notice that after the price increases of the last 5 or 10 years, oil has NEVER returned to its original price levels. St Lucians, do you remember the good old days when oil was %10 per gallon, or was it really $5, or was it even much less? Bear in mind too, when global oil prices increase so does everything else, especially food. It's a no-win situation; St Lucia and even the US can do NOTHING about it!

In St Lucia's case we have abundant alternative energy sources: the sun, wind, and in particular, geothermal energy. We MUST proceed with exploiting these wonderful national and natural energy resources as soon as possible. In the end, oil/gasoline should ONLY be used to fuel vehicles.

In my books the recent decline in oil prices on the world market should be reflected immediately at the pumps.

---------
It is reflected in advanced countries where brakes for abuses are in place, but not in St. Lucia where the crooks want to squeeze more dollars from customers, even if it's ome more day.

Do you see how any of these bozos can figure how to make alternative energy work for St. Lucia? Why don't St. Lucians elect smart people to run the country instead of crooks, jailbirds, drug lords, liars and cheats?

Crooks are attracted to politics. This has become the major problem of democracy - with money, advertising and brainwashing, these days voters can be MADE TO vote for whom ever has the most money behind them; and of course, the candidates that are the most 'gifted' bold-faced liars usually win.

Why do most St. Lucians literally prostitute themselves for a chicken leg and some alcohol to vote for a known felon and crook and suffer FIVE years of deprivation?

Should there not be a law making the offender be fined and confined for giving out currency ANY TIME 12 MONTHS BEFORE AN ELECTION?

Most St. Lucians therefore are political prostitutes.

Where are the supposedly smart people who were on the constitution reform commission? Did someone say sell-outs?
