Our sentencing guidelines need serious overhauling. $4000 is not a deterrent to anyone who wants to maim you or attempting to kill you. That particular case called for fine and confine. That's my take on this. This rouge needed to be made an example of and in my estimation he got off scotts free. Why should he be given a year to pay he should be made to pay forthwith or go straight to jail.
