Any idiot who can write that crap, most importantly suggesting that Jeannine Compton, John Compton's daughter should be recognized in St. Lucia as a politician worthy of substance is completely screwed up.

Good thing St. Lucians are not as daft as some like the writer, obviously living somewhere in the wildnerness believes.

Don't you think, the AVERAGE St. Lucian can analyze Jeannine Compton, and recognize from a great distant how shallow and dumb this woman is. She can't even speak the English well. A shameful representation she makes. Nothing to write home to mother about.

Joyce I would take you seriously if I did not suspect that you are one of those who actually know better but for some obscure reason you're pretending behind the veneer of those who seek to make non-partisanship a virtue.

Non-partisanship, far from being a virtue, suggests that you have a mortal fear of calling a spade a spade. You regurgitate broad generalities which, while they may to some degree be true, do not get to the crux of the matter of the need to make choices concerning the issues of governance,corruption, development in our small island state.

The only genuine position in our situation is to be a protagonist, to act, to take a stand against what is passing for government in this country, and in favour of those who have proven they can make a difference although they may not be perfect.

Your fence-sitting, non-partisan,holier-than-thou-art, Timothy Poleon type of a position is nothing but a cop-out. Nothing but a reason to do nothing perhaps because you cannot bring yourself to accept that the choice you made last election was a dumb one.

There is still time and space however for you to come off your fence of studied resignation and be part of the movement to take our country back.

Well said Author Jeanine is one of the best women politicians in St. Lucia's political history. Hope that when the UWP loses this election on Nov. 28 that she will continue the authentic UWP again. Oh by the way, I have always supported the SLP but simply can't deny the useful contributions of Jeanine. Jeanine don't mind the pessimist and jealous individuals who tries hard to discourage BE ENCOURAGED MY DEAR. Who knows I may very well be part of your party if you are successful at it.

I would like to say this to the author of this article.

I can not remember reading an article in this newspaper or any other local newspaper at any time in the past that impressed me more than your article. I think you deserve a much bigger audience like an address to the nation. Certainly it makes more sense and is more truthful than any speech Stephenson King have ever read in front a camera. Honestly.
However, I don't agree with Louana that you are a fence sitter for I believe you know exactly what is right and wrong for this country. Fence sitters don't usually know what they want.

So yes... I hope to hear and see more of you two ladies in the future. Ask for Jeanine Compton-Antoine? I believe the future of this country depends on her and people like her.

Jeanine you faced with the option of staying with the bandits and filling your pockets (or bag) with perhaps millions of Taiwanese funds but you choose to walk away and stand up for principle and what your conscience told you was right. THIS IS TO ME THE MOST HONORABLE ACT COMMITTED BY ANY POLITICIAN IN THE HISTORY OF LOCAL POLITICS.

What principle, you foolish St. Lucians. Jeannine Compton along with her mother danced on a public political platform with the same people THEY CLAIMED KILLED JOHN COMPTON.

This was in full light on national television played over and over.

When the folks were obviously more cunning that these two women, and did not GIVE THEM what they were looking for, what they expected was theirs as a GOD GIVEN RIGHT. Everything turned ole mas.You talk about opportunists, deception and guile. All these three traits depicted them big time.

These two women? There is a place for them in HELL for attempting to hoodwink we the people of St. Lucia. You Comptons, understand that this era in St. Lucia is not the 1950's and 60's. So take note. Please put some water in your collective WINES.

Blogger you forgot to mention, that they were both dancing with both Richard Frederick and Rufus Bousquet on the platform, and this played over and over on the television.

By the way, whatever became of the infamous file, Janice Compton claimed she had from John Compton on Tiwanese money? I won't hold my breath. All of you are only bloody political opportunists. You all bilked St. Lucia enough and carried it in your forein bank accounts. So all Comptons go to hell.

Tell u what! I don't give two hoots about Janice Compton and what she says and who she dances with. Jeanine Compton on the other hand (never mind the relation) is an extremely promising prospect for St. Lucian politics. I don't know where she can or will go from here but I imagine if she can team up with a good group maybe even a new group, St. Lucians may be able to look up to a better future.
If Kenny and the SLP were to return come December 2011, I can't guarantee they will solve all our problems but I'll take my chances with them any day than with the last bunch of thugs, crooks and criminals with a leader who leads from behind and couldn't recognize decadence even if it jabs him in the throat.
St. Lucia needs a true leader with his or her own vision. We presently have four options.

One who's been mostly overseas, has some good ideas but has never been truly tested.
Another who is declared to be bright but has credibility problems and is a failure in private business.
Another who has been tested, tried and actually performed way above average by most accounts not withstanding he has erred in a number of areas.
Then there is the other who appear to be nothing but a puppet. Does what he is told to do and says what he is told to say.
