It is so ridiculous that we cry foul when a citizen of a neighbouring island, a member of the OECS States who is entitled to live and work in our one economic space, participates in our political debate - simply because he speaks the unflattering truth about the party we blindly or sometimes dishonestly support.
For decades affiliated groups and parties across these islands have mounted platforms in one another's islands and have done the same thing. Not only is it a tradition, but it is not illegal and it is healthy for our democracy in a region where integration is a must if we are to survive.
Attacking people, not on the substance of what they say but on the fact that they are Dominican or Vincy or Canouanian, is nothing but narrow parochialism which breeds hate and mistrust among a people who are essentially one people.
Remember Sir John was born in Canouan, King has Canouanian roots and many of us including myself have fathers or grand fathers who hail from neighbouring islands. But ofcourse all this must be lost on a small brain like Ozzie Boy - What did George Odlum see in you really?
