With the Rochamel and Grynsberg affairs Kenny did not tell his colleagues what he had done.St. Lucia thereafter lost tens of millions of dollars - down the drain.

Now we hear confirmed a fundamental issue like staying with Taiwan (and not going to China) as reported by the Taiwanese. Did Kenny conferred with hid colleague candidates(Who are now MPS) when he told Chou he was staying with Taiwan? I bet not. Kenny and Tony. Did the SLP already get money from the Taiwanese prior to elections ? Up to two weeks after winning elections and three weeks after meeting with the Taiwanese and confirming his relationship with them he is still telling St. Lucians he is "negotiating".

You get the same person you voted for in 1997.

Already when the IMF and World Bank are telling other Caribbean countries that they MUST start cutting recurrent expenditure Tony says he is spending hundreds of millions of dollars on creating jobs -which we know will be nonproductive government jobs. He loves Big Government and the control it gives him over other peoples' lives.

Welcome to the magical world of Kenny and Tony !!!

Put a sock to it ok!! TOOFAY!!

Lorne Theophilus for tourism! Hilarious! I mean seriously, it shows a complete disdain for St Lucia's tourism product? How is this man going to negotiate with airlines and foreign governments?

Please, somebody offer a consulting contract to Allen Chastanet to ensure that tourists don't desert fair Belle Helene en masse...

Anonymous said...

Allan Chastanet started just like Lorne.

Lorne is smart, aticulated and highly educated, plus he will surrounds himself with equally smart persons.

Tell me, what did Allan Chastanet achieved for St Lucia, that Lorne cannot achive and supass?

So don't come here with your margee 'negotiate with airlines and foreign governments?' shit...

Kenny - Above average height
King - Above average Width

Kenny - Above average brain
King - Above average skull

Kenny - Looks elegant.
King - Looks like an elephant

Kenny - Reminds us of King David
King - Reminds us of King Kong.

Kenny - Highly educated
King - Hardly educated

Kenny - Abhors criminal behavior
King - rewards criminal behavior

Kenny - Inspires easily
King - Perspires easily (especially when climbing steps)

Kenny - Committed to the Star (Labour Party)
King - Committed to the Star (Newspaper)

Kenny - Got married before he became PM.
King - Got married because he became PM.

Kenny - Contributed to Caribbean unity.
King - Contributed to NIC (except for the 9 years he was unemployed)

Kenny - His close aide (Pip) executes his duties responsibly.
King - His close aide (R.F.) executes his opponents.

KENNY HAS ALREADY STARTED HIS USUAL LYING TONGUE SHIT, I MEAN THE KENNY AND TONY SYNDROME.

HE TELLS THE NATION IS CURRENTLY OPEN TO NEGOTIATING WITH CHOU WITH RESPECT TO DIPLOMATIC TIES WITH TIWAN AND HE HAS ALREADY[ACCORDING TO INTERNATIONAL NEWS AGENCIES] TOLD THE TIWANESE THAT HE WILL MAINTAIN THE TIES WITH THEM, FROM WHERE UWP LEFT OFF.

THIS REMINDS ME OF THE PHRASE IN PATOIS THAT SAYS" SAR WAT LA CAR DEE EN FAYTAIE CAIE SAY PAR SAR E CAR DEE LERE E ARE TERRE".

"WHAT THE RAT SAYS WHEN IT IS IN, THE CEILING IS NOT WHAT IT SAYS WHEN IT IS ON THE FLOOR."

HE SHOULD NOW LEARN HOW TO KEEP HIS FLAPPERS SHUT WHEN NECESSARY. HE HAS STIRRED UP SO MUCH BAD BLOOD WITH AMBASSADOR CHOU AND TIWAN AND NOW HE HAS TO BE LIKE A DOG TO ITS VOMIT. SHAME FOR US AS A NATION. HE MADE SUCH A 'FAUX PAS'.

HE HAS LEFT MIGHTY PEP OUT, BECAUSE HE ALREADY SMELL A RAT WITH PEP. THAT IS TO SAY, HE REALIZES THAT PEP HAS A BRIGHT BRAIN AND WILL NOT BE A 'YES SIR, MAN. SO HE IS KEEPING HIM FAR. PEP REMINDS HIM TOO MUCH OF MARIO MICHEL. SAME BRIGHT BRAIN, WHO IS LIKELY TO OBJECT AND ASK QUESTIONS. KENNY IS NEVER COMFORTABLE WITH THAT.

PHILLIP LACORBINIERE SUFFERED WITH NOTHING TO DO FOR ALMOST FIVE YEARS, KENNY ALLOWED HIM TO GO TO THE DOGS, NOW HE KNOWS HE HAS LACORBINIERE WHERE HE WANTS HIM, SO HE CAN HAVE HIM AROUND AS A YES, SIR MAN.

SAME THING FOR FLETCHER, BECAUSE THE FOLKS AT OECS WANTED HIM AND SEVERIN OUT, BECAUSE THEY CLAIM THAT THEY ARE WASTED MATERIAL EARNING FUNDS FOR NOTHING. THEY WANTED BOTH GUYS OUT FROM OECS. SO KENNY HAS NOW BAILED OUT FLETCHER. FLETCHER WILL NOW BE A YES MAN. THEY SO BRIGHT, AND FOR FIVE YEARS THEY COULD NOT ESTABLISH THEIR OWN PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS? ZOT CAR BYE BLAG. SANS HONTE. YO TOOT. SANS HONTE.

ST. LUCIANS FOOLING THEMSELVES TO BELIEVE KENNY CAN EVER CHANGE. NOT WITH THAT BOMBASTIC TRICKIDADIAN NEAR BY.

IF HE SO CHANGE, WHY HE DID NOT SEE THE MERIT FOR EMMA HIPPOLYTE OR PIP TO BE THE MINISTER OF FINANCE. EVERYONE KNOWS KENNY IS A DUMB ASS WHEN IT COMES TO QUANTITATIVE SUBJECTS. ECONOMICS OR FINANCE OR ACCOUNTING. WE SAW THAT WITH THE FIASCO HE MADE AS MINISTER OF FINANCE. SO LUCIANS GO GET THE MESS WORSE THIS TIME AROUND.

MARWAY WEN ZOT.

6:11 PM I agee with you, Kenny is not good at economics, but the majority St Lucians doesn't seem to agree with you because they entrusted the economy in his capable hands again. I like the way you and King Kong crying these days. King Kong and his gang of crooks were so good at economics, but nobody know where the more than a BILLION DOLLARS they borrowed went. If you can show me anything in St Lucia where atleast 1\2 a billion was spent from these loan, they we will discuss Kenny.

Anonymous said...

As the country song said... "Run and Hike and have a good old fashioned cry"...This is what King and his gang of remaining 5 miscreants should do.

If it is in the best interest of St Lucia to continue diplomatic ties with Taiwan, that is fine by me. My concern is Tom Chou. He should be replaced. Too many bad blood over this man Chou. Personally, I don't care for him from all I read about his interring in past administation's internal affairs, and our country in general.

Sorry.

'Hike' = HIDE

I will disagree with the people who say it in the best interest of St Lucia to keep Taiwan, i will tell you why, UWP choise Taiwan because they knew they would have benefited personally from the funds and we all see that did happen. Taiwan did a lot of small projects which we we do not need a foriegn to do for us with a billion economy. On the other hand China will come here and build massive projects which we cannot afford. China bring in their own people to build these projects, to offset this they had offered to give the government $100 million. One of China projects is costing more than all the small projects of the Taiwanese.

I would say it is a shame for any government to lack foresight to have a foriegn government to come to t Lucia to build small drains and footpaths for us with a billion dollar economy. The government suppose to be able to do these things thenselves or the economy should be boyant enough for the people to do that for themselves. What we need a foriegn government to do for us are projects we cannot afford like schools, hospitals, stadiums, universities etc. The UWP though they woud do nothing in 5 yrs and dazzle the people with a few small Taiwanese projects and they would be alright in the morning, but that could never work. We elected a government to work, not only to create scandals. So we are suppose to be able to see what the country finances including loans were used for. As far as I'm concerned nobody can see anything which the UWP did with our finances.

12:10 PM, I do not believe anybody could do a worse job than Chastanet in the Tourism ministry. You boasting about your Chastanet so much, can you list Chastanet any achievements when it comes to tourism in St Lucia in 5 yrs? I'm waiting for you answer before I list the negatives of Chastanet when it comes to Tourism in St Lucia, which there are so many. Talking about that what did Chastanet really achieved for us for the 5 yrs we paid him our hard earned tax dollars, excepting he got travel personality of the year for traveling 1st class on our tax dollars? What will Chastanet be advising about when, he could not advise himself?

Now when it comes to Lorne we should have no fear, he is young, intelligent and he can learn from his advisors. If Lorne could go down to Chousiel out of the blues, and in a short time win that district from the incombent, who had all the goevernment and Taiwanese resourses available to him then nobody should doubt his negotiating and organizing skills. Lorne did not just go down to Chousiel and smile for the people and they voted for him. He had to have some negotiating skills, as a matter of fact Lorne is a skillful Laywer not an avoca ti papier like Doddy, so he capable enough to represent us in any situation that arises amen.

Anonymous said...

@ 4:27 PM what you trying? Do not try to make people believe that there is trouble in the SLP camp when it come to Pep. I didn't hear you fo the 5 yrs when there was so much trouble amounts your UWPees. Have you spoken to Pep to find out what he is up to, instead of trying to spread your useless propaganda? Have you learned anything from the results of the last election, that propaganda do not work any more in St Lucia, we go by facts now a days, praise God for Kenny for affording us with a school place for each and every one of us, now we can think for ourselves, gone are the day when UWP use to bluff us. You see they come with all their Taiwanese money and we still vote them out!

Now back to Pep, not everybody who win a seat want a ministry. Pep said he want to continue his profession as a medical doctor, in that way he will be able to continue taking care of the sick within he constituency, which will afford him to always be with the people. He also want to concentrate solely on taking care of the development of his constituency because he intend on to holding that seat for a very long time. Having a ministry will take away that from him. So go somewhere else with your propaganda, it will not work here OK.

We try too much to "big up" those in our political party and demean those in the opposition - without credible reasons. We should also try to be civilized and not use cuss words.

I am for the United Workers Party but have reservations about Allan Chastanet's stint as tourism mninister. Not because he is "white" (he is actually of mixed race parentage as his father is coloured) as some racist St. Lucians pundits dislike him for, not because he is Michael Chastanet's son, not because he is a supporter of the UWP. I have reservations because he has vast knowledge of tourism BUT he does not know how to spend money judiciously. In marketing you can find 100 ways to spend and mostly waste money. If you really understand your marketing you can spend money on only 15 of those ways and achieve the same results. That is my concern about Allan -that he spends too much in a "hit and miss" fashion.

On the other hand Lorne Theophelus is of suspect character. We all had the same reservations about another character in the previous UWP Administration and we were all proven right in the end.
His suspect character indicates that aside from his complete lack of experience in the area of tourism he will do all the wrong things for the wrong reasons. I find it incomprehensible that Dr. Anthony would put someone like that in charge of our most important foreign exchange earner and job creater.

No one has seen or commented logically on the incongruity of putting a total novice as head of tourism when you CLAIM that your first priority is to create jobs.

Kenny says his prioroty is job creation but Tony puts a complete novice in the main job creation Ministry. Go figure !

Again Dr. Anthony is showing his incompetence that was so much on display in the previous SLP Administrations.

My sentiment exactly, above...those UWPs are up in arms.

Believe it or not, UWPs, Labour is here to stay - for a very L O N G time at that.

Get Royal Caribbean to sign a multi-million dollar contract for the modernization of Port Castries; plus getting more cruise ships and airlines to the island; just to name a few.

7:47 AM please, please with all Chastanet achievements it look like the people of St Luica were not impressed, they kicked him out. Chastanet can take of himself, he was born with golden spoon in his mouth, why are you the one crying for him? Why didn't you cry for the poor people of St Lucia when Chastanet fired the poor tour guides of Soufriere, when all the poor hotel workers were being layed off at the hotels under Chastanet watch, whiles he was paying Hepples thousands tax free to do his work whiles he go on joy rides with Juke Bois, why don't you cry for the poor people when Chastanet was wasting our money on boxing in paradise and bringing third world to Soufriere to have a good time. Talking about signing for port development just before election? Show me at least one suceessful sustainable project that UWP completed in a whole term in office, then we wiil talk about port development? I live in th USA and I know for fact that because of the tight economic reccession more people choose to take cruises instead of land vocation, so more cruise ships has nothing to do with Chastanet, so get your facts straight. Even though we had more cruise ships the tourist has less money to spend, so the people do not benefit to much.

Anonymous said...

That so called port development by Chastanet some people want to boast about. It is a plan to kick out the poor Arckade vendors to replace them with the big shot friends of Chastanet. Chastanet said that is prime property so poor people should not be there. So this is not something to rejoice about.

I eh worrying myself. Governments come and go. Honeymoon could will soon be over for Kenny.

Anonymous said...

The honeymoon for Dr. Kenny Anthony is going to be very short.

On the ground inspite of the vigour and noises of the red brigade most St. Lucians are very sceptical of Dr. Anthony. The SLP and Dr. Anthony if they are not aware of this and make the same mistakes as in the past -will be very surprised at how swift is the denoument.

It is going to take just one or two wrong steps whether victimization, excessive spending or a sense of arrogance and labour will be in trouble. In this case the 2011-2016 period for Dr. Anthony is going to be hard going in slow motion.

Even the Taiwanese money will not help if jobs are not created (not by STEP) and we get back to the 1997-2006 arrogance.

As Rick Wayne alluded to in a recent article -let us see also if the "advisors" around the political leader get their way with their sharpened knives.

Anonymous said...

Oh please. The HONEYMOON is over for the UWP. It's like some are wishing they were in a bad dream and would wake up eventually. smh

Anonymous said...

Yes keep crying like King and wish Kenny fail for the UWP to return with all their corruption, incompetence and lack of progress in the country. If some body cannot see that the UWP is now a dead party in it present state, then that person is blind. King is to weak to revive the party, Spida is humilated, people like Frederick and Guy Joseph are not prepared to leave and make room for better calibre men. There is no more Odlum to split the SLP or Compton to ressurect them.
Their propaganda machines of RW and Juke Bois has no more influence on the public, people have seen through them. they cannot fool people anymore.
So you are the lone voice in the willderness pal talking about nonesence about honeymoon and Kenny arrogrant foolishness. That didn't work in the past it never work now. It's better you pray for you soul and stop being bitter and miserable with yourself.

I don't understand how the SLPs can feel high and might after a half baked win. The country is evenly divided. Check out the results - a little 2 votes there, another 7 votes there and so on could have swing the election either way. Don't form the fool and don't make it look as if you people are high and mighty. It could be short lived if you all keep up this boastful and self gratifying behaviors.

Move on and go and deliver the promises to the people. It's time for the SLP to wake up out of an election that never expected to win.

Anonymous said...

1:07 PM you er tired of talking foolishness on this board. Talking about SLP on a high, SLP won the election so what do you expect? You talking about the closeness of the election, Compton once won 9-8, he still won. You can win by one vote, you win. Most of the UWP seats were won marginally also, so what is your point? As somebody said Spida won the seat by a huge margin last election Emma as an underdog eat into all that lead and won by 7 votes, that is a huge accomplishment. The samething goes to Alvina in Babonneau. You talking about SLP victory could be short live, UWP started with scandals and corruption from the start to finish they were not short lived. How you expect UWP a party now in disarray to replace the SLP anytime now? You talking about SLP did not expect to win, with all that crap the UWP was doing only blind people like you expected them to win. I knew SLP was going to win from day one, as a matter of fact it will be very difficult for UWP to revive from that loss. UWP is no more they are DEAD for good this time. Prove me wrong.

Anonymous said...

You are very correct, above, about all you said.

Just like Eugenia Charles' party was in Dominica. Her Party died with her after her death, and so it shall be with the UWP. I maintained, as long as the likes of Stephenson King, RICHARD FREDERICK, Guy Joseph, Mondesir, et al; are in what is quickly becoming extinct, the UWP...it's a done deal; FINISH.

I do not doubt there will be another party, but he name UNITED WORKERS PARTY, in St Lucia, FEE NEE...

For those who are arguing about Pep's appointment and being screwed. Get your heads out of the gutter for a minute. With all the demands placed on a Ministerial portfolio as Deputy Speaker, he can have more time to pursue his true passion which is medicine. I am sure his constituency will benefit individually and collectively much like how they had done before he was in political power.

Some would wish to see this government fail because they would rather the dirty deeds and politics and the numerous soap opera moments of the previous government. Some saw themselves as huge beneficiciaries and are fearful that all is lost.

The UWP's are already screaming victimisation. I for one, support the reshufling of key civil servants, for very few have any professionalism and would screw the mandate of the government which they are supposed to serve as impartial servants of the state. Every cabinet in every country would ensure that their key people can be trusted. it is a necessary aspect of politics. And for this government the quicker they get the ball rolling on this, the better they would be able to execute their mandate.

I do hope that the next five years will be better. we will have set-backs i am sure, we will find moments to criticise but i do hope that i can see a better st lucia overall like i saw in the 10 years under the SLP.

Finally, let me say, as a St. Lucian I can hold my head high after those elections and I am proud that we put an end to the "marjee" at the ballot box.So thank you to all En-rouge. My plane ticket home was well worth it. and to my surprise, many others travelled to st lucia for the grand occassion. I am particularly proud of the southern belt of my country which mainly brought the victory home to the SLP and I hope that development encompass these areas and not only concentrate on the north.

This is not to say that I do not recognise the good men on the other side of the fence, I do, but keeping the two rotten eggs, can only make for a stinky soup whose smell that even st lucians across the atlantic cannot tolerate.

MAKING BEASTILITY LEGAL

When the American liberals and other socialists around the world pushed to make marriage unimportant to American life in the 1950s and 60s they said it would not lead to any more breakup of traditional Christian life.

This led to their push for homosexuality. Now it is not just a push for homosexuality but for transgender and bisexual RIGHTS. Even to the point where in certain parts of America gays have more rights that heterosexuals. Conservatives said these perversions would lead to more and more RIGHTS. Like pedophelia and beastility and the other 22 sexual persauasions that they define in America.

Now in the American Congress they want to repeal a law banning beastility in the armed forces.

The Senate bill, which was passed last week, removed an article from the Uniform Code of Military Justice stating “unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy.”

Watch soon to see how this plays out in St. Lucia where the gay agenda has not been explained to the people.

Anonymous said...

We were all happy to see the back of that rogue UWP bunch that replaced John Compton in 2008. Good riddance to bad rubbish. They were as bad as the sLP opportunists of 1979 -82.

What it shows is that leadership matters and King has to go.

St. Lucians are very wary of the people who go up for politics nowadays and are watching Kenny Anthony carefully.

It is interesting that in the first few days as the new PM he has spent most of his time outside of St. Lucia. Watch out !!

Anonymous said...

Anybody who support this rogue UWP party in it's present state must be insane and see things cockeye. Imagine @1:07 PM talking about SLP should not be on a high because of half bake wins of 7 and 2 vote.Playing blind when it came to the Micoud North seat which is suppose to be a UWP strong hold, UWP has never lost that seat, they always win it very easily. Now they won that seat with a minority vote, the two other candidates together has more votes than the UWP wining candidate.
Excuse me the person who spoke about Kenny spending his first few day outside of St Lucia, must realize that Kenny is now our PM, we elected him to take of our country business both in and out of the country. He is head of the country and it was a meeting for Caribbean heads so he had to attend, now we have somebody proper who can represent us anywhere around the world with distinsion. Atleast Kenny went on government business and not on a joy ride with Juke Bois like Chastanet did.

There is a tendency among winning parties to force upon us unelected ministers. This often takes the form of failed candidates being appointed senators, or just individuals who have failed to test themselves with the electorate. To date Kenny has made two failed candidates senators , one failed candidate from a previous election and one his friend who has never stood for election.
Leaders should note that when the electorate rejects a candidate it is because we dont want them to serve in government, not thrust upon us via the back door or through friends patronage.

I strongly believe that the United Workers Party should challenge all those close results in the Courts, because St. Lucians did not want Kenny back as their Prime Minister.
