The community should use the pile of soil on the river banks ... take "progressive" advantage of a potential disaster:
1) use the soil to plant fruit trees and other life giving plants, along the river banks. Choose fast growing trees with BIG roots!!
2) take the soil away to their homes, and plant their own food.
3) sell the soil by the buckets to make extra cash!!
4) I think I will take my truck, and cart away a bit of all that nice river soil!!
Once the powers that be, see that something "progressive" is being done - you would see how fast they would materialise to prevent, and/or squash any money making venture.
the more things change the more they remain the same.. i suppose i cant blame the party in power but the instrument of decision making the arms of gov and its agencies are the ones to blame .. NO STANDARDS NO INNOVATION.. that is st lucia in a nutshell
