My concern is, as is that of the college, is whether the right people will get this golden opportunity. I say this because I have been robbed by the principal of a former major institution who gave my success through hard work to a student he was having an affair with. On this island, political association goes a long way in opportunities you get.
I removed my child from the SALCC and sent him to that school, Monroe College, St Lucia Campus, thinking, after graduation, the opportunities of finding suitable employment would be less of a burden. He has secured suitable employment, but rest assured, the $10,000 is absolutely NOTHING...it's less than a drop for what you will eventually pay at the end of ALL semester.
Plus, the administrative staff at that institution DO NOT KNOW their duties. When asked for the most basic of information, be prepared for the conquest to Mt. Everest. No one seems to know what's going on in there. And, when you go to that school in person to request information on behalf of your kids, what you get is "eyes rolling towards heaven"..."I doh no uhhhh" etc, etc...be warned!
Monroe college is not what it use to be. It gone local now and is the same attitude you get from that school, no foreign feel for being a campus of a us college.

But $10,000 is only one semester at monroe. What good is that ? It's more like a trap.

The Minister himself is concerned about the scholarships going to the right people. That says a lot.
That is trap!! Pure and simple.
