from what I am reading here it was just lack of comunication. The guest is not always right. so at the expense of making a dollar for the hotel we choose to sacrifice a man daily bread.

It is a pity that A.G, Simpson was not given a "hearing" by the hotel management. This hotel has shown utter disrespect to Mr Simpson. Mr Simpson should take his case to the CHA, Min of Tourism and other hospitality powers that be for some recourse or compensation. Mr Simpson is a noted gentleman, and highly regarded by his peers as a fair man with a professional attitude. I think an apology is in order.

It's a pity our locals are subjected to unfair and unfounded treatments, while scoundrels (foreigners, as well as locals, those haves and pretend haves; and those corrupt government ministers; with reputations stinking more than skunks's)are getting away with broad, daylight, highway rubbery.

Meanwhile, this poor gentleman is unfairly treated, without recourse or an avenue to voice his side of the story...indeed, how sad? What is St. Lucia becoming, alas!!?

There certainly was a lack of due process in this matter. The management should have done an investigation involving the account of both parties.
In so doing they would be able to determine whether it was a clear case of miscommunication, a lapse of professionalism, or a clear case of dishonesty on the part of Simpson and then taken appropriate action.

I understand why the Hotel would want to adopt a zero tolerance stance of someone trying to defraud their guests, but they should not rush to judgement in that goal.

This is my 1st on and i think it's excellent.Definitely a ban on the evening news 4 me.Bravo!!
As far as every story that goes we as St.lucians need to wake and stand up 4 our rites. We are asleep and when awake using not enough our brains. We need to realise that all these politicians are merely in power 4 their own interest and we as masses of the people need to demand POSITVE change on all levels. As long as we as a people sit on our behinds in rumshops, barbershops, hairsaloons, offices, shops, churches and blocks stop talking just in our private corners and come out together as masses and say We don't like what's happening here in our beautiful island St.Lucia lets put a stop to these politicians cause is "We the people that placed u in the position and yes we can put out.POWER IS TO THE PEOPLE.WAKE UP I SAY BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.
