The Media were Correct

I don't have access to the archives of the broadcast media, but I distinctly remember getting the impression from Mr. Astaphan that he deemed his client to be absolved of any wrongdoing. This would imply that the inquiry had completed its investigation. It may have been a little bravado on Mr. Astaphan's part, but it could have led people to believe that the inquiry was complete. I, myself, was wondering "Is that it?" Perhaps, you are interpreting events such that they reinforce your predisposed opinion.

I heard mr. astaphan on th tele and I never got the opinion that the CoI was complete. The impression that I received was that, as of now, there was no real "case" against his client K. Anthony and the other former ministers. I got the impression that the documentation offered to the Commission was insufficient to proceed with statements and oral submissions.

I think the last "anonymous" contradicted himself.

You write that there was "no case" and insufficient documentation to proceed, but you never got the opinion that the COI was complete????

What Mr. Astaphan said was that the Commission was appointed and targeted the former Ministers, but in 20 minutes the Commission made it clear that there was nothing on the Ministers resembling civil or criminal responsibility or liability.

I believe that Mr. Astaphan wanted to create the impression that the COI was over.
