Why are St. Lucians so scared of Science?

I took science in high school in the 80's and it was hard, and we were the last class for a while. Many years after, I went to college to continue on the same path and I will never ever regret taking science. I just think that they should make science a bit fun in order to attract more students, and BTW science means job security anywhere in the world.
