OTTAWA — A 20-year-old Peterborough man faces murder charges in connection with the death of an Ottawa man, Stevenson Auguste. Justin Boyer, 20, appeared in court Tuesday charged with second-degree murder, Peterborough Police said Tuesday. Auguste, 41, died in a Toronto hospital three days after he was injured in a brawl in late January at a Thursday’s Bar, a strip club in Lansdowne Street in Peterborough. A native of St. Lucia, Auguste had been working in Canada and living in Ottawa with his family. Anyone with information on the case can call police at 705-876-1122, and ask for Det. Sean Nusink.

This is bad reporting by Micah George. Why doesn't the article make mention of any attempt to contact the labour department to hear their side of the story and what they are doing about the matter?

What steps has the man been taking to escalate his complaints to the authorities?

Can we get some resolution to anything in ST. Lucia? It's like the halfway jobs and unsolved mysteries permeate the society from our newspapers to the police force to our government departments.

We have only ourselves to blame for all the crime in the country. Nobody wants to do their part.

Zeigy you make sense into questioning the reporter in regards to a follow up with the authorities. However though its totally unacceptable you should know in St.Lucia when we try to seek answers from authorities, we always get those typical responses such as "attempts were futile, they were in a meeting and could not attend to address the issue or simply they are busy."

I want names. Publicly embarrass them. Let us know who the lazy bastards are. Someone must be made responsible.

The banks do it when people owe them, and they get their money.

This is one time when I will blame government for not doing more to tackle the inefficiencies they know that have been going on for years in the civil service. And if those same lazy people want to vote you out let them. Someone has to run the country. And when your replacements come to continue your work and force productivity down Lucians' throats then we will see a change in the Lucian mindset.

The honeymoon must end or our people will perish.
