Does Ubaldus “Jimmy” Raymond live in St. Lucia, and where is he employed?

"Three" for Labour Party converts to "Free" -dom for the our people who have been high-jacked with bloody tears for the past "three" years. Please, please Labour, move swiftly to stop the bleeding.

TEN ACTIONS IN THE REBRANDING OF KENNY ANTHONY:

1. Re build your relationship with the church - your government was conveyed as ungodly - the church still has a major influence in the island.

2.There were many actions undertaken by your government benefical to the nation , but you failed to communicate this thereby failing to improve the feel good factor of the beneficiaries.

3. Convince SLP supporters that you will cease with the practice of promoting UWPs of high colour at the expense of loyal supporters.
4. Be less elitist.

5. Promise to be a PM for all Lucians not just the rich , but also the poor and needy.

6. Be more inclusive listen to the people , jettision the "Massa knows best mentality"- it alienates you from the people.

7. Develop some compassion, you come over as only caring about the strong in the society.

8.Be less dictatorial

9.Address the relationship between your daughter and Chasnets wife - it causes great distrust and concern within the party , and will be more so when Chasnet enters the election - dont dismiss it it important.

10 Stop addressing SLP supporters as MA -mi Labour , it is patronising and condesending to grown men and women some older than you.

Calm down Dr.Raymond....no need to show off your intelligence and embarrass the PM like that.

How about the woman they launch--What was she trying to say? LOL

T-Croiz for each and every one of them.

more empty shells in coloured t-shirts.

If these people are empty. How do you rate those on the government side. Skip the ones like Guy Joseph etc without a high school dip. Go for the ones like King etc who head our government.

Congratulations to the new candidates!!! we hope that they will bring with them new fresh eyes which will discern (or have already discerned) the problems which plague the country and the possible solutions to them. They are armed with the academic qualifications , some have the experience , but they need now to mix these two with "the voice of the people" Good luck all!!!

did I mention any colour?

The person who commented about Jimmy's place of residence and employment, let us stop this petty stuff....he is brave enough to face the electorate in spite of the odds. All of us are not able to get employment in SLU SO WE HAVE TO LOOK ELSE WHERE.Jimmy is willing to show us how he can make his contribution ....let us wait and see...kudos to him

This election will be filled with the faces of st lucians who live abroad. I have no problem with this. They are as has been said before lucians none the less. I will welcome them to the process.

Maybe their experience abroad will benfit our country.

These are the same set of academics that were presented in 1997 with no experience that took us down the garden path to destruction.

This is just like Obama who has filled his Administration with more airhead liberal intellectuals who have pulled America downward for the past 40 years. Look how incompetent and a fool he is proving to be.

When you tell me a guy has a Phd and two masters plus how many other academic qualifications I know you ain't serious.

This kind of presentation and candidate plays right into the UWPs hands.

You see all the academics and how they have been fooling the world.

At least 16 different acts of fraud have been found showing that global warming is a hoax. It is now called CLIMATEGATE. Himalaya glaciers melting -fraud. Antartic melting- fraud. Amazon turning into wasteland -fraud.

Of course the liberal media and even our media in St. Lucia reports none of this liberal academic fraud.

A top member of Congress wants President Obama to freeze more than $500,000 in stimulus money going to a Penn State global warming researcher after the school said it was expanding an investigation into the professor's work.

Rep. Darrell Issa of California, the top Republican on the House investigations committee, said Wednesday that the school's investigation calls into question the credibility of research by Prof. Michael Mann, who has played a major role in shaping the international debate on global warming.

"Until this investigation is completed, the National Science Foundation should immediately freeze all grants and funding, including the $541,184 stimulus grant to Professor Mann," Mr. Issa said. "Taxpayers should not be paying for propaganda masquerading as science."

So do not bring all your academics to us in St. Lucia. You tried it in 1997 with your Phd's and look where it got us.
$1.6 billion debt. Francois PHD. Rochamel. NCS.
Cost overuns..

and you still coming back with the same thing ????

jimmy and his beautiful family have moved back to st lucia... great fellow!

Would it be asking too much to know what this experience has been? Would you hire someone to work in your business without knowing what he has accomplished? No, I don't think so. Well, government, once elected, is out of your control, so you better make sure you know before voting day what these people can do and what they intend to do.

The previous comments that are tailored to "fighting down" the PhDs, I must say you must be the biggest set of ignorant people. Nothing is wrong with someone with their academic qualifications and whatever experience wanting to return home and contribute to their country. (If they don't return some are quick to call them sellouts)...make up your minds. Secondly if you are presented with a candidate who has such high accolades for your constituency, I urge you to not quickly drink the Kool Aid believing he will automatically be good or will flop. Instead do some research on them. In the case of Dr.Raymond, it is noted that he specialized in Development Economics with his dissertation on the study of low income households. As for experience, it is noted that he was an Economist for the District of Columbia Energy office. How do I know all of that? Take time to research and ask yourself if he is elected into office how much of a fit he will be.

Later peeps.

we put guys with doctorates and degrees in the house before and they turned out to be complete idiots. i wouold vote a man of experience before those bookworms.

economy bad in the US so they all coming back to get a piece of the good pie. lol . i have a doctorate in econ too and so what. experience count u idiots.

Oh, my,my,my St.Lucians--how ignorant can some people be about persons who see a need to advance themselves intellectually. Is it better, you idiots, that we turn to other non-national intellectuals paying them exorbitant salaries for work that they cannot show any result for--ask Chastanet. This country will perish for lack of vision, if we continue to place square pegs in round roles(UWP's). It would be very helpful if our St.Lucian people place more value in EDUCATION, and stop the envy trip. Dr. Raymond,is a man of the soil(that is, for those of you who simply don't know and don't care to know). I will re-echo the same sentiments--do your research about this unique man. Not only is he truly an intellectual but a man with a significant wealth of experience working with the DC government(It's not too late to do your reseearch). Once you do that your perspective will be changed and possibly have a jaw-dropping experience. Embrace your own!!! and stop settling for less or for non-nationals who have very little interest in your welfare. Hope my country is not getting to be a place of sorry-faced individuals. I simply ashamed at the level of ignorance exemplified by obviously jealous and bitter individuals. This is really a rude awakening for me...that some people are still locked up in such a petty and ignorant mindset. Please St.Lucians WAKE-UP...it would be for your own good.

You idiots...Yes, there is a recession but Dr. Raymond and his wife are among the fortunate ones in the US...both have good jobs. It will only take the foolish to not understand that those professionals are trying to give back and not TAKE from the government purses...take that to the bank.

Anonymous said...

Dr. Raymond I always knew that you would grow up to be somebody. I admire your courage to be willing to return to your country to serve your people. It is clear that you can remain in the U.S. to enjoy the American Dream. Obviously, your country comes first. All by the best!

Dr. Raymond and his wife are currently professors at Florida A&M University. They are giving up their secure future to return to St. Lucia to serve. We need more of that unselfish attitudes. Bravo to you and you wife Dr. Raymond. Please ignore those negative comments. Some Lucians are still living in the dark.
