Flavia in your quest to prove you have political influence you are making an arse of yourself and hurting those little boys in the process. You know what it means if these little boys start thinking that Massade boys is a place were little boys are trained to become bullas? You know the damage it is going to cause to their mental process?

....You are not hurting the government you are hurting very little boy who will suffer the public stigma of having gone to THE INSTITUTE OF YOUNG BULLAS!!

SHAME ON YOU FLAVIA!!!

There is an easy way out of this episode of unparallel and unprecedented shameless, irrational, non credible and colonial clowns call the UWP., which is equivalent to Bandits, pirates, con artist, endangered species, pit bulls and deceptive politicians.

The campaign begins in Soufriere with Allan Chastanet to dismantle his slavish concepts, untruths and deceptive practices in business and politics.

The stage is set….one and all are you ready for the battle….

To #'s 1&2: How is Flavia hurting the little boys when she is trying to bring the truth to light, rather than half truths and innuendoes by Terrance, Social Services and the Ministry responsible in general. Based on precedents of what has happened in the past at the BTC, Flavia is doing the Island a favour in bringing the truth to light.

Your very thinking and condoning of the actions of the manager of BTC (by not speaking the truth but seeking to hid it), #'s 1&2, is the reason why St Lucia is in the mess it is today. We refuse to call a spade a spade and deal with the situations, but, oh dear, we would prefer to lash at Cherry.

Based on all whats happened at the BTC, what is there not to believe in what Cherry alledgedly said occured.

Jamal DID NOT burned at the BTC: yes or no.

There are high level of management at the BTC: yes or no.

Some security guards are convicted criminals at the BTC: yes or no.

The wards at the BTC are being rehabilitated to enter society civilly: yes or no.

The BTC is embeded in politics: yes or no.

There has being cover-up in many previous allegations (of all sorts) at the BTC: yes or no.

So what is there not to believe, whether is was Cherry, Jane Doe, Jesus or Belzebub who brought this sad situation to light?

Sorry anonymous #2, I didnt directed my questions to you, but rather to #1 for condoning the sickening response of Terrance to Cherry's...I do apologise, #2.

I did not expect anything else from the "Cherry-picker." To admit she was wrong would be too much for her. She really isn't intrested in BTC but in advancing her own political ambitions.

Not too long ago, before Cherry was Chery, social activists won a hard-fought battle to get rape cases heard "in camera" to protect the identity of victims. In one swoop, Cherry has undone all this hard work by exposing an alleged rape victim to public scrutiny. Whether or not this boy was raped he will have a hard time dealing with the stigma of his alleged ordeal; all thanks to Cherry.

For crying out loud, when will The Voice stop treating readers to this "he said, she said" story-telling and give us at least one article with the results of this own investigations? What about an interview with the Uncle who allegedly spoke with Cherry? How about a visit to BTC to verify Cherry's claims of "appalling" conditions there? What about an interview with staff of BTC? What about at least one itsy-bitsy comment from the Minister responsible for BTC? What about an interview with a former ward? How about some real journalism for a change?

The Voice, unlike the Star does partcipate in 'real' journalism. I guess people forget the Asphalt & Mining fiasco where the Voice dropped some serious facts into the public domain, even used by SLP's political leader during the budget debate.

Flavia is a woman of the times. You go girl and don't give up your advocacy role on behalf of the most needed and marginalized in society. We need more women like Flavia to tell it like it is and simply ignore the criticisms of those whose work are simply imcomparable to that of Flavia, who has a genuine vision for the destitute and alienated among society members. ALL THE BEST FLAVIA, AND KEEP SAYING IT AS IT IS.

Mr.Leonard Terrence is the custodian of the facts surrounding this alleged incident or non incident. Cherry is the keeper or caretaker of what she was honoestly or maliciously told by those know about this alleged development or those who may have heard something that may or may not be true. If a family member can testify that the incident is true then that family member ought to come forward or speak off camera to the media.

If Mr. Terrence is truthful and it is not hereby suggested that he is not, it is encumbent upon him to present the verifiable facts or lack thereof to the pubic, supported by the individuals who investigated the matter or by the signed statements of the experts. He does not have to mention the name of the alleged victim.
If and when he does that, then he can most certainly call for a public apology from Cherry and threaten to sue her if no apology is given. But he ought not to carry on this to and fro in the public arena with an individual who was clearly informed about something that may or may not have happend at the BTC.

This back and forth on the part of Mr. Terrence certainly does a lot to diminish his credibility in light of the historical legacy of incidents at the BTC.

Wrong!!!!!!!!!

Flavia's credibility is what has diminish. Once again we all can tell that she is a political fraud.

St. Lucians will never learn. They are quick to take people at face value and put them in Government only to to be disappointed later on. What really has Cherry done apart from talk, talk, talk? How has she advanced the cause of women? what is her track record? in the past we had people like Romanus Lansiquot, who did solid work before offering himself to the people. Cherry is no Lansiquot.

I totally agree with above blog.I consider Cherry to be a fake and loud mouth. Didn't she beat a poor woman unconscious yet we Lucian women blindly embrace her as a champion of the cause of women?

See how she attempted to wiggle her way out of the quagmire she created with the BTC issue.

Hear how she exposed her lack of class and considerable poor judgment and professionalism by tape recording a conversation with the manager of the center without his knowledge and permission.

CAFRA must take a closer look at her work. In my opinion she is doing a disservice to both the organization and local women in general.

Cherry is a fake and loud mouth, but at least she is airing her views of the ills in society, so that people will know and get interested in what going on around them so that they will be able to help. By having the problems known publicly the authorities will also make a greater effort to improve the situation. Because one do not support the same political party with us, we tend to have that habit in St lucia to blast that person, it does not matter what good that person do. Ms Cherry is doing her part, tell us what are you doing? Stop sitting on the sideline and expect people to do things for you, them just criticize. This is typical of us St lucians.

The easiest thing to do is to air one's views especially when a phone-in program is a phone call away. The hardest thing to do is to match one's advocacy with TRANSFORMATIVE ACTION. Instead of bringing a tape recorder to secretly interview the BTC Manager, she could have brought something tangible, like a bed, or a book or a bible to improve the lot of the wards at BTC.

My question is, why you want to demand of her what to do' when it is her right to do as she sees fit? At least she is doing something. The thing is what have YOU done or what are YOU doing? It is very easy to criticize.

You have no idea what I'm doing, so don't be so quick to judge and criticize me. Some people try to make a tangible contribution quietly and without fuss. I'm one of those. what about YOU?
