Coping without Compton

Very good analysis.

Unfortunately for the St. Lucia Labour Party they have learnt NOTHING since December 2006.

They have simply since that day three and 1/2 years ago, come back with the same inept mindset and players that ruined St. Lucia between 1997 -2006.

Apologizing for nothing they have simply run on the negatives of the UWP while proving to the electorate that nothing they have done will be anything different from before.

In fact they had proven so adroit at covering up for their fecklessness, ineptitude, arrogance and reckless with the country's finances that we are all afraid of what havoc they can wreck with another 5 years in power and the effort they will bring to destroy their opponents and hide their ineptitude.

Allan Chastanet is a breath of fresh air if given a proper leadership position in the UWP and we will be faced with an obvious choice between a caring Allan or an SLP with a leader devoid of management talent of concern for St. Lucians.

It is a slam dunk.

Oh please. You seem to be on the verge of a mental breakdown to see this piece of junk writing as something praiseworthy.
The only slam dunk I see is the one Allan Chastanet will get from the people of Soufriere. Forget slam dunk, how about the tremors that will be felt after he is rock- bottomed from the summit of Gros Piton to the ground below.
And then St Lucia will finally be resurrected from the deep Flambeau imposed coma that she has been in for the past 5 years.

One may well find, that given what is unfolding in the United States with respect to Christopher "DUDUS" Coke of Jamaica, the footsoldiers of the SLP, UWP or any other P, may not have to do much with respect to vigilance regarding the infiltration of drug barons and crooked investors. Those who currently exist in St. Lucia as big business, are being named in DUDUS's Court documents and as we understand much information on the Drug Cartel Caribbean Posse will soon be all out in the international press, many will be warded off, although given the desperation to put their hands on quick millions, will still try. St. Lucia has truly become a laughing stock for significant many out there.

Prime Minister Janine Compton, get used to it, girl power.

Allen Chastanet slam dunk? wHAT WITH THOSE OFFICIAL high cOURT DOCUMENTS SHOWING CLEARLY THAT HE IS A LIAR, AND FACILITATED keith mondesir, IN THAT BRAZEN ATTEMPT TO STEAL THE COUNTRY'S FINANCES, BY EVADING THE REQUIRED CUSTOMS DUTIES. That's a BLACK STAIN ON ALLEN CHASTANET'S REPUTATION. Do you believe that kind of exposition in the COURT dOCUMENTS which all the world has access to could possibly put CHASTANET IN ANY FAVOURABLE LIGHT. No Sir. Stop pissing in our faces, and calling it rain. Stop shitting that yellow or brown stuff in our faces, and calling it butter.I was forced to express myself strongly here, because it really pisses me off, when as a St. Lucian I keep hoping against all odds, that some light will be seen at the end of St. Lucia's dark tunnel, but we keep seeing more darkness.

St. Lucians need at the least, to give the country a HUNG-PARLIAMENT at the next general elections. We need to clean all the political crooks and criminals out of St. Lucia's political life. Just like what was done in 1982? When the rats in Labour and PLP, were flushed out with a good bit of "jaze". That strong smelling thing the old people used to disinfect a bad, foul odour. St' Lucia needs a great awakening.

You must be an SLP hack.

For a new party LPM is doing a much better job at opposing the UWP than the SLP. Sometimes I have to shake my head and wander who is the real opposition. It's a shame the SLP still cannot find its voice. LPM don't have numbers of the SLP but it sure has best the SLP on the issues.

The SLP died and is awaiting a State funeral, my sympathies.

Anonymous said...

Why are you so worried about the dying of the SLP, when we have a country which is dead under the UWP.

Anonymous said...

no one is worried. We are just timing Kenny's exit after the big mash up?

The completion of St' Lucia's demise is what will awaken those idiots/party hacks to some mundane commonsense. I DO NOT AND HAVE NEVER HAD TO LICK ANY ONE'S BUTT IN ST. LUCIA . So I have never been a PARTY HACK. I support GOOD GOVERNMENT, whoever that may be at a given point in time. And not those opportunists/ parasites either. A true-blue St. Lucian who lokks at the ISSUES, do deductive reasoning, and recognise what will be better or best for my country.
The official HIGH COURT RECORDS which I read, makes it pellucid that ALLEN CHASTANET has no credibility or integrity. And by the way this is how he is viewed in official circles overseas. The mess that imploded in St. Lucia called the KEITH MONDESIR CORRUPTION SCANDAL has not helped DIRECT FOREIGN INVESTMENT for St. Lucia. That is what matters for the rank-and-file St. Lucian. Get off your stupid statement of I must be a SLP Hack. Examine the ISSUES confronting your country and get on with it. The level of INDEPENDENTS for the upcoming polls gets larger and larger, by the day, and we will tilt the scales on this upcoming election day. We are FED UP with the CROOKS and CRIMINALS on BOTH SIDES. And I feel proud that I am independent. SUPPORT WHAT's GOOD for your country.NOT THE BULL-CRAP THAT PASSES FOR POLITICAL PARTIES IN ST. LUCIA.

I am always very proud of people who are not blinded by party loyalty snd the expecation of party favours. The more of these people we have in St. Lucia the greater our chances of saving what's left of St. Lucia for the next generations.

I had been actively involved in politics especially to rid St. Lucia of the yoke of thirty years of UWP rule to the extent that I worked for someone who I did not particularly liked as a candidate but in the interest of change I held my breath and did it.
Immediately after the count which confirmed his victory and that of the SLP nationally, the gentleman approached me and asked me "Now what can I do for you for all the support you gave me." My response was: "Sir you owe me nothing, I did this for my country." That has always been one of my proudest moments.
Later in my work life I encountered this gentleman a few times in a capacity where I had to make decisions and I never felt I had a favor to return and took the right decision (benefiting the company and not him). He has always had a grudging respect for me.

I shared this annecdote to show you how fiercely independent I have always been and how it frees you to make the right decision whether it is who you will vote for or what stance you should take on an issue of national import.

If I was a Soufrierian I would not vote for Chastnet. I would not support a "carpet bagger" over a born and bred Soufrierian who has devoted all his adult life to helping students make it in the world and a lifetime of community activism.

I heard Chastenet talking in glowing terms of all the potential Soufriere has as the nation's bread basket and the tourism potential. He mentioned that Soufriere has not fully benefitted form the tourism boom etc. Any objective person would tell him that he is shooting himself in the foot. He is the Minister of Tourism. He is part of the government who puts the PMA in jeopardy of loosing the status of World Heritage Site.
He is a collaborator in allowing Mondesir to cheat the state of well needed revenue in import duty.

This government does not deserve to be reelected and I hope the Souferie people are not going to be bamboozled, into thinking that all that glitters is gold.

rejection of carpet beggers go both ways. If you are going to ask others to reject the UWP carpet begger, how about those that the SLP has been feeding us all over the country? What makes T-Chas' carpet begging any different from Dr. Long and Emma Hipployte?

Anonymous said...

Please, please fellow St. Lucians, try to avoid prescriptions to describe persons in politics, I mean like carpet-baggers to refer to Chastanet, Emma Hippolyte and Dr. long. Can we please help the less literate among our populace, and discuus the work achievements, character, contributions whether in the public sector or the private sector where they have impacted on St. Lucia, let us discuss these things, let us move away from lies, roro, propaganda, the kind of long-ago archaic GEORGE ODLUM choo-maman POLITICS. We will be much better off and the country as well. Let us try to bring into government, through our elective politics, persons who have showed that they can add good value to St. Lucia, if we have information where they have NOT WORKED IN THE INTEREST OF St.Lucians, in the jobs they did prior to entering politics, or we have good information that they were crooked/corrupt in their actions on their previous jobs, let it be known, and force then to answer to these issues before the general public, let us vet them, well and objectively. These things will help us get at least some decent folks in our political system. God Help us St. Lucians. It ain't looking good at all.

Credibility & Inconsistencies - Who is this Minister?

1000 percent absent from St. Lucia?
Not Credible?
Not Reliable?
Who signed a memorandum based on a private discussion?
Who prepared the invisible note to cabinet?
Which ministry is run like a private enterprise? AND,

Whose's answers were evasive and so outrageous as to be false; because he said he was not at Cabinet meeting on 26th June 2008, when the Minutes recorded him as being present?

Who makes such decisions that are defiance of logic and accepted moral standards that no sensible person who had applied his mind can arrived at.

Who was “involved in a cover up to protect one of their members”?

Who fired 9 hostesses in Soufriere?

The stage is set….Voters, are you ready for the battle?

SLP not in that. They had four years to plan. They still struggling to see what response they going to give.

Boy, all in town SLP supporters in shock. They are angry and at the same time they want to cry.

The way for Kenny is already sealed. They are going to have to find another leader after the elections.

Don't blame St Lucians. Blame Kenny for forming in the arse. All the time he was busy looking for roro how comes he did not fix his party. Imagine the only flambeau that have come to join them is Lorne> LOL. Things crucial for Kenny. All the roro and talk is over. Show slate SLP.
