www.stlucialabourparty.org for a party that believes in academic advancement and its inherent cure for poverty.

Assuming that is true, don't you think that the SLP could have at least attempted to contribute towards the recent 79 IIT scholarships.

The youth of St lucia should not be on any charity in their country from the SLP or anyone for that fact. Education is their right it should not be rationed and used as a political football as the UWP has had it for many years in this country, they believe and provide education only for a selected few. For example all they had to do was to sign as security to loans for some poor students and they refused to do it. #1 is very correct the SLP provided us with a secondary and primary for each and everyone of us in only 9 years, a feat the UWP could not have done in 30+ years, and they were about to provide us with a university in St Lucia. The SLP is right not to get involved in that scholarship fiasco, to let St Lucians see how wicked the UWP is. Anyway if they had gotten involved some bias people would still say they are doing it for political mileage.
