Independence was faked. The father of independence facade and not independence. That is why people are honest with themselves. The so-called father of independence is a step father of sorts. He does not fully belong to St. Lucia. With the sense of pride hollowed out we are forced to live with an annual charade!

When we carefully analyze St. Lucia, one can see why we are where we are today, but sadly, the so-called educated among us, generally, took us for a long deceptive ride, and now the deception has come full circle, its like spitting in the wind. For example:-

No one in high society, church, Chamber of Commerce, Public Service and Teachers Union said one word, when it was discovered that the Prime Minister of St. Lucia, then John Compton, was having a prolonged sexual affairs with an under aged girl and many others as well.

No one said one word when Kenny Anthony's Attorney General then PETRUS COMPTON, said that an Agreement involving fourty eight million dollars, plus was not worth the paper it was written on. No one took Kenny Anthony's Government to task on monies being funnelled from the Government Treasury to the National Conservation Authority for the benefit of the St. Lucia Labour Party. No one put a stop to John Compton when he sneaked the infamous BLOM COOPER Commission of Inquiry subject Ausbert D'Auvergne into the Cabinet/ Governing Council in St. Lucia. No one cried STOP when all those Governments engaged in corruption, after corruption, dishonesty after dishonesty. I AM HELPING TO TURN THE TIDE IN ST. LUCIA BY VOTING FOR THE RESULTS OF A COALITION GOVERNMENT.
