Good for you Jeanine. You have validated why others have been saying for a long time now. The UWP as we once knew it is finish!!!!

I think Jeanine should form her own party or join up with Prudent and the LPM people. I said I was through with voting but I may reconsider should this happen. There are a lot of supporters out there in search of a law and order party.

I believe that Kenny was intimidated by a man with international connections to the narcotics trade. Now King, like John Compton is taking orders from someone with a gun pointed at him, supported by a jailbird.
In the meantime, the drug gangs are warring with each other with people being wiped out from orders by the Grave Yard Jamaica-styled garrison constituency and John Compton's nemesis, the jailbird.
There a still decent people left. Jeannine can lend her support to decent politics again if she joins them.
It does not appear that there is any other decent people left in the UWP. If so, by now they would have followed her lead.
Miss compton antoine has shown corage and character and she has great potential to be a very good leader.
However she still needs to be guided and groom in order for these qualities to be develop and how can these be.

Jeanine needs that exposure plus has mr prudent been invovle in different goverment ministries to understand how goverment function will he not be another king and instead the goverment go forward will go backward we don't want this there is to much at stake.
My best argument and advice for her and the constituency she represent is the labour party as an establish party
Mr anthony and the group of experience men will be more fitting for her with the potential she has not just for her constituency but for her self as well. Mr anthony will be able to groom her she needs to leave the past and for the good of all st lucians thats the way to go girl.

Going with Kenny Anthony is the worst advise you can give to this young woman. I don't know where John Compton is at this time but I am sure he would turn in his grave if this were to happen. How can you advise her to go to a party and a leader that have spent more than 40years pf politics tearing down her father and everything he stood for.
Prudent may never have served in government but it does not mean that the newbie candidates in the SLP are better qualified to run St Lucia than he is. Jeanine would be better off working with someone she who understand her, rather than a group of people who all of a sudden see an opportunity grab on to power.

Jeannine should go with the LPM. I personally heard from Sir John about a conversation he had with a certain member of the SLP.
We forget how the SLP treated sir john in the 70s and 80s. That the slp started the degredation of St. Lucia during kenny's reign.
Crime and lawlessness exploded under kenny. It was because they saw what was allowed under kenny that those there now think they can do what they want.

Dr. Anthony could not groom his own posterior if his life depended on it, and far leas groom anybody else. Even with three law degrees behind his name, he could not even write or monitor the performance of a contract, something that ordinary civil servants with a first degree in other subjects like History can do.
If Mr. Anthony had any commonsense he would have left the contract and the monitoring to those with years of experience in the various ministries dealing with such matters.

St Lucians with ideas of the world that could make a difference are treated as second class citizens if the attempt to contribute positively with the vast experiences. What kind of grooming does Ms Compton need now? What a load of crap! St. Lucia does not have a long tradition of parliamentary democracy. You only have to look to the Hansard to see the level of the debates there.
Ask anyone, when last there was ever a debate that rose to something that people will remember that was in the highest traditions of parliamentary debates. We are not talking about the hot air that is typical of our riff-raff and scumbags like Marcus Nicholas, and Richard Fredericks.
John Compton did not have that legacy. He placed broomsticks as ministers. They had little to offer in this regard but their low-level bull crap. There was no style and even less substance to talk about.
Kenny did not learn anything either. There is nothing on record that shows he knows anything of the tradition of what happens in the House of Commons or the House of Lords. He debates like a colonial in a cork hat.
Therefore, being the daughter of JMC, she learnt a lot from him. There is no one in parliament today who can do any more or better grooming. This grooming talk is a whole load of hooey!

The last time there was any sensible debate in Parliament was when Sarah was there.
Jeannine as a Parliamentarian or an MP does not appear to have contributed much. Her relevance has been her connection to her father.
In spite of that the fact is that her actions have highlighted not only the issues facing the UWP but also the fact that we have no alternatives except a failed leadership in the SLP.
St. Lucia's political history is replete with the dishonest way women have been treated in politics.
Ma Rock was abused by the UWP men and up to today still talks about how they tried to marginalize her.
Lorainne was dissed by and had to leave the UWP.
Sarah Flood Beaubrun , one of the more effective mninisters, had to leave the SLP because of arrogant slp macho men.
Poor Mennissa was a shell of a person by the time her surrogate fathers in the slp had finished with her.
Now Jeannine has to leave the party her father formed and led with such success.
Unfortunately it is partly the fault of the women of St. lucia that they do not stand on principle or even for their own sisters when it comes to politics.
For the most part here, we are hearing the party hacks. For example, if you criticize Kenny automatically you hate him. What if you criticize Kenny because you want him to acknowledge his errors and more importantly DO SOMETHING CONCRETE EVEN NOW TO DO SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT ABOUT THEM.
That does not seem to be forthcoming from lackeys and people like Kenny who feel a sense of entitlement to be top dog -- even dog in the manger. Sure there is talent and depth in the SLP besides Kenny.
Then there are those who can only exist in a two-party environment. If you criticize the SLP or Kenny you are automatically UWP, or you endorse the criminality of the UWP. To those people oblivious to the realities of the day, there is the LPM.
It is more legitimate than ONE, and NDM put together. It has more depth and breadth in terms of native talent than the SLP.
LPM I know, is made up of people with both DOMESTIC, CARIBBEAN and INTERNATIONAL WORKING EXPERIENCE. In my view, pushing paper like Kenny did at the CARICOM SECRETARIAT does not cut it.
LPM has people with BUSINESS, PRIVATE SECTOR, TEACHING, and consulting experience in many fields that can be used in many of our ministries. For example, business consulting, organization streamlining, Internet marketing, public policy, energy economics, education, and gender issues, just to name a few.
LPM has a programme of action to be implemented to hit the ground running! SLP has outlines.
There is a huge difference.

The other 4 are still at large (suggestions must be law-abiding, intelligent and skilled leaders).
Those persons are in my humble opinion the best so far to be in St. Lucia's politics. All the others should take a hike.
This is a malbouden list. I would take all of these people and dumb them in the sea. St Lucia needs new and refreshed leadership.
I do believe that those persons who write these trash haven't travel and really see the world and countrys with their operation If they do their mentality, their way of looking at things especiaaly when it pertains to internal affairs as well as foreign affairs
all this crap would stop and will be able to make sound decision for the future of st lucia.
The kind of leaders we elect is a reflection of us as citizens of a country and it will reflect around the caribbean and the world.
So lets put aside party and do what is right for the future of st lucia.
Stop bashing and passing by what is most important to us Then we end up sending children to do our job instead of grownups and this is very shamefull and embarassing for the nation. EXAMPLE STEVENSON KING and his WOODLUMS
The person with the list, how can you include the most confuse man in the government on that list. Guy Mayers was minister of commerce he achieved nothing although his time was short. He promised us the "food Basket" what ever that means, i do not know, that was never achieved. Now he is our security minister he has provided us with "Crime Basket." Crime is on it all time high, he has not brought forward or implemented one single policy to tackle the crime situation.He want to win the East Castries seat, but i want to ask him why? Because amonst the failures in the UWP government. The man only qualification is a certificate in printing. Montoute do not deserve to be on that list either. My reason is, the man is a past national athlete and sports is the worse it ever been under his ministry. He was the biggest critic of our international sporting grounds, calling them "White Elephants" what ever that means, i do not know. Now he is the first to sit in them when there is an internationals porting event. He even made noise for a parking spot during the cricket world cup.
