I know that AC is basically trying to assassinate a man's character using an anonymous profile on the internet. THAT I KNOW IS WRONG armchair anonymous. So AC is a spineless thug for doing so.

I have not seen any positive change in the police force and if you think that police killings are progress then you are delusional

I can't wait for the day when people start suing yall who try to tarnish people's image while hiding behind "anonymous" online. Just as people are now taking the govt to court for that victimization and illegal decisions they make and WINNING I hope they start finding you in here and suing you guys for making your false statements. Unless some of you don't lose all your house and land for the crap you say you won't stop

Yes involving the SLP in everything, every scandal created by the UWP gang is blamed on the SLP. How did SLP got involved in the conversation in the first place, when we were talking about Regis? SLP is so bad, but if was not for their 9 yrs in office, can anyone imagine how would St Lucia be today interms of development? Have you ever tried to subtract the development of SLP did from the country and see the mess UWP had the country in after nearly 40 yrs in office? They are now in office with a billion dollar budget, over a billion dollar in loans and they have done nothing substantial in interms of development to show in the country. All the little projects here and there was financed by the Taiwanese. So what our moneys were used for can you tell me? All they do is try to fool us by crying about recession and hurricanes, when they boasted so much how they would have fixes all ills in the country. I want to know what has The SLP done that is so bad, they are seen in such bad light by some bias people. When the UWP is in office and they have created a scandal almost on a weekly basic and very little work to show for tax dollars. The whole country is in a mess.

Regis as police chief again, and Kenny as prime minister again.

Poor St.Lucia; one step foward and 10 steps backward.

"Have you ever tried to subtract the development of SLP did from the country and see the mess UWP had the country in after nearly 40 yrs in office?
-----------------------------------------------------
Was it not the UWP that gave us the Castries/Gros-islet highway back in the early 70's?
That gave us the East Coast highway; that gave us Rodney Bay, the Causeway, and the Marina; that gave us Hess; that gave us Copaco; that gave us the Castries Comprehensive high school; that gave us electricity throughout the island, etc., etc?

You are either too young to remember these things, or you are suffering from memory loss.

Anonymous said...

that was the old UWP. What has this new bunch of clowns brought to the table nationally?

Anonymous said...

#14, you still do not get it.

Yes, the UWPwee, did gave us the above. But they failed miserably in developing the country's Human Resource - ITS PEOPLE.

In the early 60-90's, While B'dos, T'dad and J'ca were busy empowering their peoples (these countries Human Resources), through free education across the base; Secondary Education through University Education (for free), Compton was busy dividing us as a people - hence the hatred today between the two parties and the maypwee politics - THANKS TO COMPTON.

However, SLP came and gave us all A PLACE AT A SECONDARY SCHOOL. In Compton's days to get a place at a secondary school, you had to be Mr This and Mr That - do asks for Scholarships! No poor persons would ever ever get a scholarship, it was reserved for those well heeled people in society, who were abled to have sent their kids to any schools possible. I know, I am a victim of this victimization. Though having the merits for a scholarship, I was denied, simply beacuse I was then, a no body.

Thanks to a first world country, today I can safely say "I STAND STRONG", academically and otherwise, and do not want to crumbs of neither King or Kenny.

Regis' reinstatement is a consequence of the Government's incompetence. They could have at least fired Regis right! One of the many reasons why they need to go.

Anonymous said...

Yes, they should have fired him.

People, if you're going to comment at least take some time to gather your thoughts and make an intelligent contribution to the discussion.
Negative and derisive comments does not allow for a serious discourse.

Ausbert Regis knows more than anyone else in St. Lucia that he is not wanted in the Police Force, for so many reasons, which I need not spell out at this time. He knows full well, where is at.

With Regis ever getting back into the Police Force, whether by the Courts here or elsewhere, will no doubt result in instability both in the Police Force and the country generally. Buyer, beware.

His absence has demonstrated many things to we St. Lucians.

In one WIKILEAKS cable, the United States Ambassador clearly recognised that there was an urgent need to make changes in the leadership of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, which Kenny Anthony never did. This was recently presented in an article written by Mr. Rick Wayne in a recent issue of the STAR Newspaper.

The Police are voting against Labour again this time. Because they know that the country is better off without Kenny Anthony as a leader, notwithstanding some of the ills of the United Workers Party.

Labour is losing again primarily because of Kenny Anthony.

It is a known fact that Ausbert Regis is bad news for St. Lucia's stability.

He is a boldfaced, shameless creature, to even believe that he could fare well within the Police Force. Don't continue to fool yourself, Ausbert Regis.

What a great coincidence, that the decision of the Judge was made at such a sensitive time in our Nation's business. I for one, find this timing very interesting, if not intriguing. The decision to issue such a decision irrespective of whether the outcome was not to reinstate or to reinstate, should take into consideration the importance of timing given our country's highly sensitive period in its preparation of a very unprecedented and highly important general election.

Time will tell. I am pleased that the Government has issued a Presee Statement, that it will appeal the High Court Judge's decision. That bodes well for Saint Lucia. Many St. Lucians are happy with that statement.

No doubt, Mr. Stephenson King, as Prime Minister will be well informed and have priviledged information, that many of us would not be privy to, as of course, Kenny Anthony did, when he was a sitting Prime Minister.

Prime Minister King's decision to appeal the decision is the best thing for St. Lucia.

The Police Force under its new leadership and management has achieved a hundredfold more in such a short space of time and can never be compared to the former Commissioner's time in Office.

workinprogress said...

The police officers in St.Lucia do not have my confidence so if they choose to vote for UWP then that would suit their character because most of the are lazy, worthless, incompetent, disrespectful, barely literate idiots.

All I have seen under this Francois headed force is more police killings. Is this sanctioned by him? Is this how he is successful

lol, St Luciams

Anonymous said...

Hellow Lucians, some of us have selective memory. Since Regis has been on leave the murder rate has gone up . thats a fact. Crime has increased significantly in particular violent crime. Also be aware that there has been an increase in non violent crime , generaly crime has increased . Do not be fooled by dramatic drugs bust or dramatic arrest. There has also been an increase in police homicides.
Now back to Regis, Ibelieve that the Minister of Justice has the right to hire and fire the Commissioner of police. The problem was not redeploying Regis it is how it was conducted that is what the courts have ruled upon.
Regis will not be back as Commissioner even under Labour Government.
This just another example of this government messing up a simple proces because they are incompetent. Mr. Regis leave the force get your payout and start your law practice.

Blogger if you did not know that, the drug busts are particularly important to St. Lucia, and sends many clear signals internationally. More than that the Police Force operational functions have been positively impacting on many things which you are obviously not able to analyze.

There has been clear leaps and bounds in the Royal St. Lucia Police Force under Mr. Francois' leadership compared to the several doldrum days of the former Commissioner, Ausbert Regis.

And imagine, viewing Kenny Anthony along with Asstofan the attorney from Dominica, sitting in the Court House on the first day of that Court hearing. Tells us a whole lot about what goes on in St. Lucia.

St. Lucians want no part of Ausbert Regis as Commissioner of Police. He can utilize whatever competencies he has, in the post of Director of Special Initiatives created by Kenny Anthony for its first Director, Aloysious Barthelmy.

What goes around comes around.
