Yeah! Let them fool you! Time for musical chairs again!

AN AGENDA IS NOT necessarily A STRATEGY that is either feasible, workable, sensible, or effective in achieving the desired results, goals, and ends that people want in their lives.

An agenda at the very best is a statement of intention, or just mere 'me too' window-dressing. And this has almost always been mission accomplished in the eyes of a very gullible, the obeah-believing, the ignorant, the uneducated, party hacks, and those who cannot think for themselves.

How to move the mass of unemployed from drug trafficking as a way of life, to other ways of making a decent living that does not destroy lives and entire communities?
All the party manifestos have ignored this very basic issue.

Our talk show hosts are too dumb to even think about it, far less to ask the political parties leaders and representatives to talk about this. Yeah! If they don't ask about it, it will go away all on its own.

Not even the Roman Catholic Church has any credibility left regarding this matter. We have a Cheshire cat someone told me, for an archbishop.

We are back to square one after December 28th whoever wins! St. Lucia's pappyshow politics lives abundantly!

Send in the clowns! A people always gets the government that it deserves.

Boy you have some beef to grind. Do we really have to depend on the goverment to help us all the time? I think it is time for us to get up after sitting on our arses for so long and take matters in our own hands. Remember the economy is bad global not only in St.Lucia. @you 8:34 AM

Why is the UWP making the manifesto so difficult to view.
It is not posted on their website.
Their twitter link to it does not work.

How is anyone supposed to read it or is it a secret.

Well said blogger #1, and you're right too blogger #3: the UWP twitter-manifesto is blocked or has been purposely removed.

Regardless, come November 28, the winning party will be the one the US has picked for us. Wake up everyone! Once Britain dumped her Caribbean colonies, the US obviously took over the job of controlling these ex-colonies; and not only are we all controlled by the US but we also imitate the American way of life and thinking in every way possible.

Evidently, both parties (no third party stands a chance) are equally phony. The manifestos of both parties show very little real interest in adequately educating our population, because like all successful politians, both parties know that an educated people will begin to think for themselves and eventually will NOT be easily lead to slaughter like stupid sheep; moreover, a poorly educated voter is also the American way!

Above, contrary to what u claim, i think the labour party manifesto is quite good. Especially its contents on education. Bravo to the labour party for a good manifesto. As for if they will deliver is something else.

I am a young voter and I don't believe the promises stated in the UWP manifesto since they were not able to accomplish their first manifesto while in power.

The UWP administration had sufficient time and opportunity especially being endowed with Taiwanese millions to bring to fruition their plans for the five years. However, to date, I am still waiting for a job.

I am certain that my vote will make a difference in the type of leadership in this country. I believe in the integrity and leadership of Dr. Ubaldus Raymond. I know that I am not alone and this sentiment resonates with lots of young people in the Castries North area. Dr. Raymond hold one, your victory is just 7 days away...God be praised!

My fellow young people of st lucia you all have to take the bull by the horn and don't let these misfits fool you all they haven't nor will they, They haven't articulate a message in four and half years you think now they will.
Who best can lead st lucia by Example in Education, in Experience, Vision, and can articulate a message of representation around the caribbean and the international world,
Look at in 1997 when labour took office and within 9 years what they accomplish with capital projects which to this day the uwp are benifitting.
Now in the almost five years what has they done, Nadir.
How can king govern a nation when he cannot govern his own men in cabinet.

UWP, remember that your Manifesto is considered "Public Policy" and a promise to the people of St.Lucia.
Also remember that 'a Promise is a Comfort to a Fool'
With all you promises and proposals in your Manifesto, you have failed to give St.Lucians a time frame to achieve your proposals considering that the World Economies are tight- gripped in one of our worse economic recessions that not even the USA and Europe could address.
My question to you is, How and when do you intend to achieve those promises? (considering the above) Especially when you have filed miserebly to address the bread and butter issues confronting St.Lucians in every facet of their lives, especially the young people and mothers of Vieux-Fort, where the road for upword mobility is foreign/ stagnant to their development and livehood.
To your Manifesto I conclude by reminding you that 'You can fool the people sometimes, but you can't fool the people all the time'

@#2, do you in good conscience believe that the electorate should elect nincompoops, liars, jailbirds, gang leaders, idiots, vagabonds, incompetents, and the unemployable to parliament?

If not, then what's your point? Are you one of those up there? Are you benefiting from the dope industry in St. Lucia? Do we need to have idiots and members of the narcotics industry represented in parliament?

If not, shut up!

I just got a copy of of their manifesto covering before labours launch. Their theme was RIGHT TEAM RIGHT DIRECTION. They had to dump it because they realised that LABOUR was a better team.

Real people have dignity. They are not hand to mout shameless beggars. You bastards!

well said everyone. Trip down memory lane. SLP gave us secondary schools which are now almost useless. NO FORM ONES. Y did they not build technical schools. We never needed all those schools. What do u do after leaving secondary school with MATHS and Spanish or HIstory? NADA. U need to develop technical skills to work as soon u leave secondary school. GUESS WHAT. Thanx to Kenny we have no malaways able to go to Cuba to study. He cut the stipend. Second so many children don't even attend primary schools. He cut the school bus subsidies. Well hopefully FLAMBEU reinstate dem both. NOW datz y the youth are going a stray. THANX to Kenny. All he interested in are foreigners Trinis and Chinese. WAKE UP SMELL THE COFFEE. Tiawanese giving us full scholarships. Did the chinese do it?

I have deep concerns, Concerns over some of our people who keep following uwp whiles at the same time hardship engulf them and their family, Yet still they follow the crowed. Now we have the tendency to hear something and repeat them or believe it without using our god give brain to think for ourselves,
Lets look at from before 1997 when compton knew he was going to loose and who took the fall for him,
Now when the labour part came within 9 years of their reign there was Capital Projects, Secondary schools were built, Road was being taken acre of.
My Question is for the Four and half years of this goverment What has they accomplish also with the 1.5 billion dollars borrowed what did thay do with this money.
Leadership matters in Every facet of life.
Has king showed Leadership,
Has he bring Accountability, and Responsibility to the office of prime Minister.
Think, Think, Think, The worl and the caribbean is watching, and lets us prove to them we are smarter than this.

This definitely an incongruent theme, "the power of we" for the current UWP because there is no such phenomenon in this clan. This group consists of highly individualistic people. Their political strategist should re-consider the theme because the current theme is a conspicuous mismatch to the UWP. Hope this observation is seriously considered.

I am certain that God will deliver us from this group of corrupt, incompetent, victimizing, selfish and greedy group of UWP men. God be praised. I await my testimony and victory in Jesus name. Believe voters that it can be done in Jesus name and it will be done.

Iheard the UWPs announc they manifesto, and Iaccept the contents of manifestos are futuristic, but what Icant understand is why they did not fulfil any of the promises of their last manifesto. Where is Hess?Where is the quadrant?
Its ok to blame the global recession, but it is the responsibility of government to develop policies to stimulate growth, thats what was promised in their last manifesto , where is the growth.
All this government even with a nice guy like Steve at the helm has achieved is to downgrade us internationally make us the butt of jokes. Remember our Primenister hunched on all fours set up by Chasnet and a have Haitian pop singer leap over him. Not to mention the quality of our representatives, no one takes them seriously . Ask yourself how can you in an international arena take a Foreign Secretary who has a conviction for grand theft larceny seriously.
Ifor one do not believe Kenny is perfect, but Ibelieve he will be a more effective Primeminster. We just have to ensure he remains accountable. The new labour cabinet must have some balls and tell him when he is off track.
Igenuinely belive that St. Lucia will be better under Labour!
