Standards is a two-way street: for both Talk and Walk!

How can you talk the talk and walk the walk when it has been ingrained in us to respect other than self and kind? This may sound a bit racist, but it appears to me that we seem to regard anyone that does not have "dark skin or the semblance of dark skin and wooly hair" as important while we treat our own as second class. It happens at places of employment, on the streets, almost everywhere we turn. maybe we need to face the harsh reality but it is the truth: Out of the "dark skinned, wooly haired being came forth all others so we deserve the utmost respect. Unless we change our mindset we will be regressing back into a time when "massa" ruled and as far as I am concerned, massa day done! Let us not hate anyone but let us uplift and respect each other to the point when we can no longer be treated with inferiority. If the caucasian among us can be smiled at and served promptly, then that kind of attitude has to be extended to us. if the wealthy among us can be treated with respect so can the poor. My point: If the business person or the employee can hasten to the assistance of the "haves" among us or the well dressed and well manicured, the same courtesies can be extended to those whom we consider less fortunate. if you can serve the caucasian with a smile then do so to the "negro." Love for self and kind is the strength of any nation. Perhaps we need a lesson in "The origination of the Black man."

There is nothing racist about speaking truthfully. I commend you for your demanding respect, rejecting second class status, and your understanding that we are a people inflicted with an inferiority complex as a result of the worshiping a “white holy ghost”. There are not too many conscious Blacks in Lucia, since most of them will kill for their Slave master's little white Jesus-man-god. So as a conscious Lucian to another -”Teach the people the truth and keep up the struggle”. These Negroes must be cured of this self-hatred.
