Yes blogger #1, since they stabbed King in the back and introduced this Albino - a liar (per the high courts) and profligate, they are making a lot of empty noises to say they are doing some worthwhile.

As you rightfully pointed out, they are too ashamed to attached a name to the penned article. Sad.

Those of us who are aware of the marketing and gimmicky approach to the new turn in our political life will take it for what it is. Marketing. Marketing with all the phony messaging that can be applied.

It has some serious psychological aspects built right into it. And that is where the SLP has to be PERPETUALLY on guard, to NOT lose sight of the fact that here, perceptions will play a HUGE part.

We know that in marketing that perceptions TRUMP reality. All the time!

With that in mind, the SLP leadership must NEVER EVER give the impression, that this extra-parliamentary propaganda machine's attention-getting protestations are anything but.

NEITHER is leadership's time to be taken RESPONDING to the tissue of lies that has become the main offerings of this propaganda and entertainment machine. Let able subordinates craftily and deftly respond.

Do NOT dignify lies with rebuttals from leadership, or the tail will now be perceived as being able to wag the dog.

UWP in recent times, has not placed a single concrete and convincing plan of action in the public domain. No plan! No articulated national goals. No strategic alternatives to what's CURRENTLY going on! No stats! No substance!

Lots of questionable statements? Well of course, yes!

Is this NOT the hallmark, trade mark and brand of a key actor -- even under oath -- before an Appellate Court in the Tuxedo Villa Affair?

Has there been anything done or said in the RECENT PAST that has RESTORED any semblance of credibility in any of the outpourings of this individual? I think NOT.

Notwithstanding all the denials made regarding the Soufriere bridge affair, a telephone call was made. No?

And didn't the UWP's yard-fowls after that call, show up on that bridge, in full force, making trouble? Didn't they?

Let it be known that the UWP machinery CANNOT dictate to the Labour Party what to express at a meeting to the public or any medium. I find this current statement published by the UWP caucus is out of place and too damn rude. Who the hell are they to condemn social and economical issues given by the party at a public meeting. The Saint Lucia Labour Party has every right to talk about any subject that is deemed essential to the public at any forum. This to me is another sign of Flambeaus depicting empty barrels sounds.

Our political model coming from those small-island minds show great disrespect for the parliament as the locus for national debates on critical issues regarding the direction of this country.

That others without any other history are following in the footsteps of that country bookie by ignoring the value and proper use of the old-age institution called parliament, is to be expected. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

LLL is quite correct. All fora that may be available should be used to communicate the party's message. UWP has no credibility regarding communicating any message to the broader electorate. Besides, in the last few years of incumbency in what passed for a government, the leadership avoided facing the public as if this were an anathema or the plague.

Moreover, UWP up to now, does NOT have a message for the wider electorate.

Accusations against the incumbents are NO substitute for a COGENT and coherent message of purpose, of mission, of direction. They never will.

UWP still represents and stands for political bandits and banditry, rogues, and rogue government.

For the more intelligent among us, who are NOT yard-fowls, such repeated false and hollow accusations, rum-shop communication, and similar public offerings, more than anything else, reveal the depth of the crassness, the trade-mark deception and the emptiness that is still the UWP brand.

Why? There are still shameless and corrupt yard fowls and party hacks who will condone any kind of wrong doing and borbol by their government, as long as there is a job or a contract for them down the road.

Why? Because the SLP, unlike the offshoot of the UWP which is also their silent partner, the LPM are afraid of having another pack of political bandits calling themselves a cabinet, that almost got away with leaking money from the national treasury, with Chastanet as the minister responsible for the Ministry of Tourism where that took place, and who did not lift a tiny little finger to stop it, liars before the OECS Court of Appeals, a well-known drug baron, a puppet dummy for a PM, and a well-known US ex-convict, all of that passing for a government. These are the reasons why.
