The Star article makes frightening reading.
My mother was murdered 2 years ago in St Lucia and despite suspects being charged within days forensics have not been completed and therefore the case is still outstanding. This has been given as a reason for the delay. Sadly this disgraceful situation seems to be the norm on the island. This is not good enough. Do they consider the human rights of families of victims?

What legacy is being left for the children of St Lucia. What is the future for tourism with crime spiralling out of control?
Who's prepared to champion the cause?
Surely this should be down to the government.....?

Anonymous your unfortunate situation shows different from the nice picture being painted by the Minister responsible for the forensic services.

Everyone is passing the buck.
What is the future of St Lucia if the youth are being denied their future as in the very sad recent killing. This young lady was apparently to go away to study, hopefully to have returned to her country with an expertise to contribute to society.
Will youngsters really want to return to the existing lawless culture where more and more people, of all ages, will no longer feel safe, not even in their homes?

Is it possible to recommend St Lucia as a holiday destination?
......I don't think so.
