Yeah right!!!If St Lucians know what is right for them they will stay away.
UWP has been in power for close to 4 years and nothing have happened in the country. SLP has had soufriere for close to 15 years and same bull shit.
We need another way. We don't need any of this jive talking and unfulfilled promises.

Finally we are seeing the possibility for the huge potential that is Soufriere that can be realized with Allan.
Soufriere for 200 years has been one of the centers of St. Lucia's development but has languished under the St. Lucia Labour Party for the past 13 years.
Allan can make such a differencr for the youth and women of that constitutiency.

Allen and Janine should join the LPM, they are the most progressive politicians in office at the moment. It would be a "progressive explosion" if they joined Prudent. I really do like those three, we need more of their likes.
Give Soufriere Her due, give Her back her pride because She was our first Capital. Let Her rise once again, She is French by the way.
It should also be understood that the advent of Allan as a candidate for a seat in the House has huge implications.
We all know that the UWP is disadvantaged by the baggage of Fredericks and Bousquet who also have an advantage over Allan in the pecking order in Cabinet.
With the possibility of Allan winning his own seat the people of St. Lucia know that the UWP have an option if King decides to vacate the Prime Ministership and we know Allan will have the backing as an MP to take on the worst excesses of other members of the UWP slate.
Additionally the only value that Kenny had for the SLP was that in spite of his grandiouse failures as a leader and manager he still had a "gravitas" that made him appear to tower over the pigmys in his camp. Now the UWP have someone without Kenny's incompetence or self centeredness and lack of concern for St. Lucians but who has the gravitas of experience and success.
With the significant assistance of the Taiwanese on the ground , with tourism picking up and with Allan in control in Soufriere then the SLP can kiss another 5 year term goodby !

Allen Chastanet's record as a liar before the Courts of Saint Lucia is a crying shame and embarassment for all St. Lucians. I am referring here to the notorious and infamous keith mondesir hotel corruption. In effect, Allen was the one who made it possible for mondesir to try to get away without paying Customs and Excise Department their customs duties.SHAME ON YOU ALLEN CHASTANET. There is a saying that goes that way--- a liar is a crrok and a crook is a ------. You can complete this sentence.The official records of the HIGH COURTS of St have left a black stain on Allen Chastanet's reputation. Lucians are not as stupid as you think. Allen will be rejected for the farce that he is, and he truly is a farce. I heard from early this year, when there were wisperings that Allen was going to run on the ticket for Soufriere, a number of women got UWP Tee-shirts from the rally which was held in Dennery so they can prepare for Allen's arrival in Soufriere, to collect as much money as they can.I suspect Allen will be getting a similar lesson like Desmond Brathwaite got in Ciceron in 1996.

From some of the comments on this Board, you would think it is a sin for anyone to run for office or for any party to want to become the Government. Nothing written here will amount to a ton of beans on election day; so why the anger and the disrespect?
Chastanet or the LPM or SLP or the UWP will win at the polls only if the majority of the electorate in each constituency want them too.
POLITICAL VICTIMIZATION: ALL 9 HOSTESSES WERE SLP SUPPORTERS
It is such a travesty when the St. Lucia Labour Party hacks like to bring up the firing of the 9 "hostesses" in Soufriere.
What they refuse to answer is the question as to why ALL nine hostesses were SLP supporters.
If the Labour Party had been a Government for ALL St. Lucians then there would have been at least 3 UWP supporters and at least 2 non political hostesses hired.
Additionally why did all the hostesses have to be women? Could not men have done the job just as well ?
Kenny Anthony when he was campaigning talked about being a PM for all the people of St. Lucia irrespective of their political affiliation yet his administration then went on to cut off UWPs from jobs and opportunities as shown by this hostesses situation.
Kenny will never come back into power because we all know the SLP victimiation will be worst the second time around for all St. Lucians.
Of course only hiring SLP supporters is seen as good business by the SLPs including the "useful idiots" on this board who can only see red.

How can you prove who is an SLP or UWP supporter, anybody can put a yellow or red jersey on them and go to any political rally or meeting. What really matter is where they put that cross in that private voting booth. How can you prove the hostess were SLP supporters? So even though they happened to be SLP supporters, do they not have a right to support a party of their choice? Are they not St Lucians and have a right to work in their country? Would you be happy to be fired from your job in which you feed your family and you cannot find another one, just for political reasons? Your bias self even question, why the hostess are women, the answer is most hostess in St Lucia are female. Chastanet must learn that people do not play with others daily bread, because you might need these same people and their family at a latter date.
There was a press release at the time that said catgorically that ALL the hostesses were SLP supporters. Of course because everyone expected victimization from the SLP even the SLP PR ppeople castigating Allen were saying themselves that they were SLP supporters who were fired.
VICTIMIZATION by any other name is VICTIMIZATION.
The trouble is that things were so unside down in thse days that no one cared that this was going on in St. Lucia.

The HIGH COURT records on the case involving ALLEn Chastanet, says everything about the lack of any sense of credibility or integrity regarding that man. What a shame, St. Lucians have not even recognised the serious negative impact this matter of the KEITH MONDESIR/ ALLEN CHASTANET as facilitator has made on DIRECT FOREIGN INVESTMENT in St. Lucia. Allen had to help KEITH MONDESIR out, because he needed their help too, to get his. At this time in St. Lucia's life cycle, ONLY CROOKS AND CRIMINALS ARE COMING IN TO DO BUSINESS. AND THAT IS WELL KNOWN BY ALL OVERSEAS.
So I repeat, examine the ISSUES, available documentation at the HIGH COURTS. And asseess the character of the man who wants to deal with the finances of this country.This is why I say again, stop pissing in our eyes and call it rain. I have no problem with the man running for elections, save for my objection to him based on the official records of St. Lucia's HIGH COURT. If you believe it was...which I doubt very much...return the UWP back to power. Let mediocrity continue. If you think at this junction that the country needs a foreign-inexperienced-third party like the Lucian People Movement with all their rhetoric, then you choose them. But bear in mind that what the country needs now is economic recovery. We need experienced representation. "We need to create jobs for the youth coming out of school. Unemployment breeds crime. Just check the crime statistics for the last gour years. From 1997-2006, St. Lucia had that kind of leadership in the Saint Lucia Labour Party. We were considered as one of the most prominent country in the Caribbean. But we were not satisfied, we wanted more, so we invest our interest in the return of an aged John Compton. We are now aware of our mistake and we should have learned from our mishap. For the good of the country we swallow our pride and return the SLP to power.
I ask you again äre we better off today than we were four years ago.

Chastanet or some unamed opponent who will replace Dalson ?
Who is more likey to dip into his pocket and has the personal resourses to help the people of Soufriere to attain their goals?

Kenny is selfish and selfcentered partly because he grew up without anything in his pocket. He does not care one iota about the people of Soufriere but only about his own success and big name.
Chastanet on the other hand was raised without having to scrunt like Kenny so is willing to give whatever it takes to make Soufriere succeed.
Let Soufriere take its deserved place in the development of St. Lucia by having a caring MP as Allan.

I cannot see how some bias people want to boast about Chastanet or even let that UWP bluff them again. Soufriere is supposed to be the mega of tourism in St Lucia or so they say. They want to promote Chastanet and want to make believe he is the saviour of Soufriere when it comes to tourism. It is almost 4 years, close to a whole term Chastanet is minister of tourism in St Lucia and he has done nothing for Soufriere, he never remember there was a Soufriere. He never had any plan to improve Soufriere, Now he was rejected in Gros Islet, rejected in South Castries he run to Soufriere with a couple of computers to try to fool the people. I know the people of Soufriere is smart enough see through him.
Of course they are smart-This is why they will vote Chasnet over the boowick called Dalson.
You mean that is all the people UWP a party in power, who provided FREE Transportation for people from all over the country can muster? UWP is in real trouble.
