Allan and the government take, grab and give to their friends the wealth of St.Lucia at will, NOW, the want St.Lucians to VOLUNTEER....can you believe that.
If Allan and KING want us to volunteer,(leadership is by example) begin by cutting your salary, or allowance,cut the cost of government, that is not productive - reduce the debt of St.Lucia, invest in Infrastructure, housing and education.
How can one volunteer his or her service when one is, uneducated, hungry,untrained and homeless.
The UWP IS BRAINLESS....the events in Egypt and Tunsia is not far fetch...caution!!!

Mr chastenet needs to ask a few question such as in october of 2009 after the FCCA [florida caribbean cruise conference asscociation] which was suppose to be in guatemala and the goverment there refuses them because of demands from the FCCA. Mr chastenet accept to bring them to st lucia at almond grove hotel at whose expence, ST LUCIAN Whilst every delegate paid $700. #900 and more depending 0n their different status
Now who foot the bill for Food,Entertainment,Transportation,Etc The Goverment of st lucia by who Minister Allan Chastenet and still turn out to give them millionsof dollars
ON This one What a shame ANd how in March of 2010 at the sea trade conference in miami how he could lie to the people there and say that the goverment had plans to turn castries dock into the best cruise ship dock in the caribbean and gave the conference committe a picture of how the dock will look like and am very sure st lucians have no clue about this.

It beggars belief, where were those tourists been kept because Rodney Bay has been like a one horse town lately. Its only hotel owners who benefit, never the staff, or the independant resturaunts etc. Why don't these people get a life and stop misleading the populace. I would like to know if they have fulfilled the promises they made at the last election, lets see one politician start canvassing around the country reading the manifesto pledges, I feel this would be a miracle!
The director of tourism is a statistician. He must be getting tired of growing the industry with statistics. that's why he and allan start fighting.

AllAH IS GREAT...
Allan had to spend 37,500,00 in three quarters of the year to attract 305,000 visitors. This came at a cost of $123.00 per head. Are we getting our maximum bang for our marketing buck. What we need to know is how much did it cost us under Pip to attract one guest to St. Lucia?
We now have to look at our returns on spending $37m. These areas are direct returns which will include: Hotel occupancy tax, airport taxes, payroll taxes to hotel workers and nis. Did we receive $37m+ from these areas.
We must also bear in mind that these visitors stayed at hotels which provided them with services which they paid for. This must not be factored into the direct returns on marketing investments. Pip used $25m. in 2006 which showed that we received a highest return on our investment.
For tourism to create a socio-economic dent, we need to be able to attract 500,000 visitors to our shores for our $50,000,000, which is mass tourism. Or the island must attract 250,000 visitors with a high spending power or class tourism. The statistician must also tell us what is the average dollar amount spent by each guest over the past years. Barbados is focused on class tourism and not mass tourism.

Students who did hospitally studies are not employed. Nobody just cannot understand what kind of best year it was when so many workers were sent home from their jobs in the tourism industry. I know it was a very good year for Chastanet because got to travel mostly every day, i assume on holidays with our tax money. I am tempted to say that because he brought their campaigner Juke Bois to England on one of these joy rides.

What a mess! St Lucia appears to have become the only country in the world where the politicians are as stupid as the people they are conning. Looks like this island will have to start all over from scratch: it desperately needs some first-class education and a heap of morals.
20 years ago it was the model island of the Caribbean. What happened?! Now, all the other islands - who themselves are doing no better - take turn laughing at poor St Lucia. Obviously, we know they laugh mainly because they are jealous; because in truth, we have been extremely blessed by nature. But unfortunately, that's also the reason we have not developed our full potential, i.e., because of ignorance and conceit! Don't forget, "To whom much is given MUCH is expected."
Wake up St Lucia! First humble yourself and acknowledge your failings - EVERYONE OF YOU - then steadfastly set about IMPROVING YOURSELF AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL ISLAND.
