It is with much pride I read this article of caribbean organizations making this statement of tribute to an individual who fought for the basic rights of freedom that is to often trodden upon because of misguided religious led ignorance and fear in society. We need these organizations to join forces and challenge the current legislation and perceptions in the wider Caribbean where numerous individuals live in fear of protection and persecution for their sexuality. As we here in St. Lucia have also witness a number of sexual orientation murders with no proper investigation or justice for the victims.
