He mentioned there are 4 or 5 other countries with higher airport taxes in the Caribbean.
Does anyone know which countries these are?

Some data from other OECS countries

Sen. Skerritt said he is very aware that from July, St. Kitts' RLB will have the second highest ticket charges for airport users in the OECS, after St Lucia which is now US $60 (having moved from US $25 from May 1, 2011). Departure tax in Antigua and Barbuda it's US$28 per person for non-CARICOM citizens and EC $50 for CARICOM citizens, EC$40 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, US$22 in Dominica, Grenada EC $50 and in Montserrat it is EC$35 (US$13) for Caricom nationals and EC$55 (US$21) for non-nationals.

Why ask about timing, this government does not trully care about winning or losing an election, they are hoping to win, but if they lose, they will get as much as they can from it. We already know this Airport project is supposed to be a palm greaser and then Pelay's asks. Yeah Pelay, you should now ask your friends to let you put honesty in the National Pledge because we need a redundancy for these guys in the government to get the message of what is expected in public office

Sorry Pelay you can say what you want... but St Lucia has adopted a policy of dual citizenship, so anybody born in St lucia whether they have pledged allegiance to another country OR NOT is St Lucian....why would you want to take away someone's nationality .. I am sure you are aware that this very same persons make contributions to the development of the country .... check the Ministry of finance and they may be able to tell you about the remittances which are sent to St Lucia...in both Jamaica and Haiti this makes a tremendous difference in the standard of living...

True you mentioned that for purposes of the tax they should not be St Lucians ... but this is tantamount to depriving people of their nationality for money. Please let us observe the constitution of our country ....
