Well written article. Too frequent are we to blindly follow "politicians" and their intentional ploy to score political points under the umbrella of "our interest."
I long to see the day when one politician will publicly applaud his colleague on the opposition for a job well done or a well construed plan.
Furthermore we as a nation need to not be zoo partisan at all times particularly when the circumstance has eroded the political barriers. We are too gullible, even after we are continually graced with false preaching/teachings by politicians who can never seem to substantiate their claims.
It pains me moreso when the "educated ones" spew out such untruths and are abusive (be it emotionally/verbally/physical) to their fellow countrymen when challenged to provide proof.
As a nation we must continue to strive for even more greatness...Laborian
Laborian, for a Laborian, living in Labour Land, it is strange that you do not even seem to know who Jeff "Pelay" Elva is. You say that this is a "well written article"? Well why did Pelay not write such nice and apparently objective pieces while the Labour Party was in power? Pelay is an APOLOGIST for the UWP, a man who refuses to realize that the present gang of the UWP government were clearly responsible for the death of the hero, John Compton. That not-so-subtle attack on his "calypso brother" Mighty Pep, is just another way of Pelay playing his games, to stay in the good books of people like PM King and Richard Frederick, his parliamentary representative. I challenge Pelay to show us ONE ARTICLE, only ONE, where he was so "objective" on these kinds of matters, when the Labour Party was in power, between 1979-1982 and 1997-2006. You can rest assured Laborian, that in 12 whole years, Jeff "Pelay" Elva NEVER wrote one word of praise or understanding to the situation of the SLP government. The ball is in your court, Pelay, you SOUP singer and hypocrite!!!! Donna.
