YOU mean uwp talked so much about Rochamel and they did something worst. At least the hotel hv almost pay back by employment and taxes but what returns are we getting from the land we hv to repurchase for so much money
Rochamel has cost us not only the $80 million or so but also another 20 or $30 million in interest payments over the past decade.
what about Grynsberg?
This is just like the NCA Report where someone close to the main fool involved was doing the report !
How can an inmate in the prison do a report on the prison!
how can the AG do a report on his failed boss ?
Only in St. Lucia !
Shortly St. Lucia's credit rating will be JUNK status but I am sure Kenny will have all the excuses lined up : The state of the world economy, the Englis Tax, the UWP Administration, the lack of productivity in St. Lucia, the American recession adn everything but him and his poodle Phillip!
Bitter Days and here again and Kenny running out of excuses before he hands over to Phillip !
Micah the PM did not say he would ask the AG for a legal opinion "on which of the two controversies put the country in a worse position." (your words). The PM's own quote carried in your article says: "An opinion will be sought to determine the issue as to whether there was negligence in the Black Bay transaction, so that we can have a clear understanding..."
Micah is missing the point. The issue is one of ACCOUNTABILITY.
Rochamel and Grynsberg took place over a decade ago.
Not once has the person responsible for these fiascos (Kenny Anthony) come on board to say squat. He dodged a commission of enquiry. He has refused to explain Grynsberg.
When Micah talks about which sin is larger and he absolves Kenny Anthony from having to give the people of St. Lucia any answers - this is the travesty.
This was the government that touted and shouted to the mountaintops about "Transparancy and accountability". This was their watchword for 4 years until we realized that Kenny did one thing and Tony another. Then they dropped that slogan like a hot potato because that is all it was - a political slogan that Kenny has no clue how to attain in his life.
ok 2pts. for UWP on roachamel and 2 pts. for SLP on black bay. can we break the tie with the TRUTH or FACTS on GRYNBERG. GRYNBERG PLS. we knw enuff about rochamel n black bay.
St. Lucia has a Prime Minister by the name of Kenny Davis Anthony under whose watch:
St. Lucia's nation debt has risen by $1.3 BILLION with possible over $400 million borrowed since the last elections in November 2011.
Growth has been an abysmal 1% on average over his tenure from 1997.
His SLP Administrations have engaged in contracts involving hundreds of millions of dollars of the states assets for which we have had no explanations and they has dodged, weaved and obfuscated to not answer for : Hellinites, Rochamel, NCA, Grynsberg and others we probably do not even know about.
The fabric of our society has been shattered with families falling apart, political animosity climbing every day, our value system shredded with children having sex in schools and bringing weapons to schools.
Over 300 St. lucians have been murdered with an internal security system falling apart.
Our middle class is being battered on a daily basis with no relief from our so called leaders. VAT is about to be implemented and the PMs only concern is if it can bring in enough money to pay for his profligate spending.
He is so clueless that he says he is a Kensysian economist so as to have an excuse for his clueless borrowing. This in spite of the fact that it has failed in the USA and Europe plus our leakages are so great in St. Lucia it makes no sense to make this your prime economic development weapon.
His social policy centers around the sexual mania of white 1960s America with his party and wife's support for prostitution, same sex marriage, transgender "rights", abortion and all the ills that are aimed at destroying the family in St. Lucia.
Although both political parties made economic blunders and are now playing a blame game, the yellow gang seems to have something to hide and are simply playing a game of distraction so that when evidence of their deceit and immaturity surfaces they can have a finger to point. The people must demand answers particularly when their birthrights are sold to a foreign entity. Land lost may never be regained. Our siblings deserve it more. Both parties are sell outs.
Kenny does not understand finance, debt, borrowing and repayment schedules. He is always at the deep end when it comes to cutting financial deals.
He is only slightly better than abmysmally clueless King, and in but a very narrow and limited field that is quite useless to us, Saint Lucians, constitutional law.
The man can hardly find a job anywhere else in the world and perhaps only as a lecturer.
Finance minister you say? That is very much a square peg in a round hole.

Micah, I always have your back; this time, though, two wrongs does not make a right.

Who cares? They were both stupid agreements that cost St. Lucians millions! They were both terrible! Waste of space for this nonsensical article.

And we seem to like it so !
This is big money. Not for me ...

I am so tired of this Rochamel thing that I do not want to hear about it anymore. Hope the UWP will not bring it up...let's discuss something else.
We can discuss Grynberg, Black Bay issue but please not Rochamel.
