I can say with certainty that most people understand the existence of a reality in the realm of the invisible. e.g. Light is invisible, Gravity, sound – thunder, electricity etc. – in fact there are far more invisibles than visible(s). There are words/music in our immediate environs that are inaudible to us but audible to animals – the dog for example. However, if we are able to alter the frequency of the sound-wave the sound becomes audible – that's what the radio at home does. It reduces the broadcast frequency from approximately (88 to 106)000,000 Hz to the audible range of human hearing 20 to 20,000 Hz. My point here is because YOU cannot see or hear something, does not negate its existence – which itches me to question: “Who do we humans think we are?” Al-Aleem = the All-knowing? Having a fundamental knowledge of the office of Prophet-hood is essential to understanding God/Allah. Prophets occupy the highest station that can possibly be attained by all of created things; they excel above the rank of the Angels. even above the mighty archangel Gabriel who is described as possessing in excess of 600 wings that spans the Horizons. Angels are created without freewill or appetites and desire. They do not eat food nor do they reproduce/ have babies, and are neighter male nor female. Man has freewill and the ability to choose what is right or what is wrong. When the human being has attained self-mastery, and is dutiful to his Creator he is elevated by Allah till he surpasses the angels in status, since angels can only obey and do what Allah commands.

Lucifer is not, nor never was an angel. He comes from a creation called the Jinn in the Qur-an. The Jinn are similar to the human in that they can reproduce, eat, and possess freewill. The Jinn inhabited the Earth before the advent of man, and are created of smokeless fire from the electro-magnetic spectrum and are invisible to humans. We know when we are engulfed in anger we become “HOT” because of the satanic presence in the ether. Wash your face or take a cool shower! Don't get angry!

Humans utilize occultism to invoke these creatures for soliciting favors. These actions can be fatal if the necessary cautions are ignored. Remember what I said about radio and sound in our environment? If not do a revision. Satan/Eblis and his offspring communicates with man in that manner; what we call telepathy – there is a “radio” in our “heads” that picks up his transmitted suggestions/voices – When you were sitting minding your business and that EVIL voice entered your head, where do you think it came from? And we know that we cannot escape from Allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight. (12)
And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth either loss nor oppression. (13)
And there are among us some who have surrendered (to Allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. And whoso hath surrendered to Allah, such have taken the right path purposefully. (14)
And as for those who are unjust, they are firewood for hell. (15)

He asked God to allow him to live until the Day-of-Judgment, and would prove Humans most ungrateful to Allah for the high honor Allah had bestowed on the Family of Adam.

Save with their wives and those whom their right hands possess, for thus they are not blameworthy; (30)

But whoso seeketh more than that, those are they who are transgressors; (31)

And those who keep their pledges and their covenant, (32)

And those who stand by their testimony (33)

And those who are attentive at their worship. (34)

These will dwell in Gardens, honoured. (35)

What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed, (36)

On the right and on the left, in groups? (37)

Doth every man among them hope to enter the Garden of Delight? (38)

Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know. (39)

But nay! I swear by the Lord of the rising-places and the setting-places of the planets that We are Able (40)

To replace them by (others) better than them. And we are not to be outrun. (41)

So let them chat and play until they meet their Day which they are promised, (42)

The day when they come forth from the graves in haste, as racing to a goal, (43)

The reality is Allah favors whom he pleases and is the Boss. Some people he created to be inhabitants of Paradise and others dwellers of the Fire. This is what Allah means by his statement:

And you cannot will, unless (it be) that Allâh wills, the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists). (29)

Yes this summarizes the idea of predestination. You didn't make yourselves, had no say in when you are born and have no clue when or where you will die. Some people are created to be firewood for Hell while others by the Grace of Allah will dwell in the Gardens-of-Delight. Pray: “Oh Allah Give us the good in this life and in the next, and save us from the Fire.”

Say: "O Allah! Lord of Power (and Rule) Thou givest Power to whom Thou pleasest and Thou strippest off power from whom Thou pleasest thou enduest with honour whom thou pleasest, and Thou bringest low, whom Thou pleasest; in Thy hand is all Good. Verily, over all things Thou hast power. (26)

And worship Him (a portion) of the night. And glorify Him through the livelong night. (26)
Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day. (27)
We, even We, created them, and strengthened their frame. And when We will, We can replace them, bringing others like them in their stead. (28)
Lo! this is an Admonishment, that whosoever will may choose a way unto his Lord. (29)
Yet ye will not, unless Allah willeth. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise. (30)

@I was reading the Quranic translation in post 9:34, and noticed there was an error in the translation in the verse # 13: “and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth either loss nor oppression. (13) “ so I looked up the original revelation which is in Arabic: فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخۡسً۬ا وَلَا رَهَقً۬ا - Arabic reads from the right to the left. Falaa ya-Kha-fu = he does not fear bakh-san loss nor rahaqan = oppression . The word “either” should read “Neither”.
