We really need to instil a sense of pride in our country so when these things hapen we can blame it on foreigners.

But with the state of the country's politics and its education system still in development it's not going to be easy.

But how can we instill "a sense of pride in our country", when the country's leaders are all corrupt; Tuxedo gate; government ministers taking thier own kinds to courts; convicted criminals in cabinet (Tucker)...the list goes on - endless.

Why blame it on foreigners; when the crimes are commited by known govenments ministers and their henchmen!!

Indeed; it will not be an easy climb when our young ones takes their cues from the present known convited criminals parading about down, shamelessly, as if St Lucia belongs to them...sadly and shameful...

There were crooks in the SLP adminstration too. What not mention them? You moron!

Besides Francois did not say foreigners were solely to blame. He said it may be "triangular trade" with foreigners in canoes transporting the items to other islands in the Caribbean.

Don't make this a political issue. St. Lucia has been deeply divided since 1997! Time to unite.

I was planning on returning to St. Lucia, but my mind is changing slowing from reports of crime, crime, crime and poverty, poverty, poverty.

It is time to bulldoze these ghettos around Castries and Vieux Fort and send these criminals in low income housing at various locations on the island. It is this concentration of criminals that is spoiling the towns. It is time St. Lucia and St. Lucian realize that these areas - Marchand, Ciceron, Bruceville are prime building areas with lots of potential - WHY LEAVE IT TO CRIMINALS TO SQUAT ON!!!!

If I am understanding you correctly, you are saying that criminals are basically the same people living below US$2.00 a day.
