"It is not only the government which has a role to play in leading Saint Lucians toward prosperity, greater security and a more fulfilling future."

Great remark... Remember that the people of St Lucia have an important role in the island's future true.

This is more the case than ever given that tourism - the single largest contributor to GDP - is now in the hands of an absolute beginner. Kenny's gamble may bear fruit, but in the meantime, let St Lucians draw together to make our visitors' experience as memorable as possible. We can't expect the Ministry of Tourism to be as effective run by a junior as it was by Allen Chastanet.

UWP or en rouge, that's a fact.

The pay of the Opposition Leader should be cut in half. The PAC does not function. The current leader is as clueless as to its operations as that country-bookie Marcus was.

jackass! Keep spreading your papishow around the place. When we cut it in half do we give to you the other half?

Like it or not Stehpenson won his seat and is the leader of the opposition.

i want the opposition leader to start .. by repaying monthly rental cost of his vigie home a sitting prime minister such as king was paying by means of tax payers money.. He being the worst PM EVER.. we had to spoon feed him literally that should be his new years resolution.. i know it s a big joke wish it could happen though .. we prob paid ..@ $4000.bucks a month for the home multiplied by 4yrs

The jackasses are the UWP who allowed an even bigger jackass to lead them into defeat. Flambeau: party for idiats, by idiats, and of idiats.

King does not deserve to feed out dogs in St Lucia muchless being PM or leader of the opposition period. You ever see a PM who could not pass a bill properly in the house? He had to get help from Kenny and the Pit Bull. You ever see a so called PM degrading his country by bending over in public and letting a stupid Haitian jump over him? You ever see a PM act so childish and degrading. Himself by asking Obama for an autograph? Obama himself was socked, because it is children who ask for autographs. You ever see a PM quarelling with his oponent in a voting station, and running out of the room in shame? You ever see a PM in this day and technogical age who is not schooled? You ever see a so called PM who didn't bring one new investment into a country after a whole term in office? Have you ever seen a PM dancing with a Pitbull on platform in public? Aber Bondia help us in St Lucia...........

At the rate Kenny Anthony has proceeded, making so many serious faux-pas', we are not expecting much change, but more mayhem, maybe ofa different kind.

You right we do not need any change, if Kenny continue the place he left off in developing St Lucia, we wii be the New Yorke of the Caribbean and the envy of the Caribbean by being the most developed island. Can you imagine the amount of development we lost during that disasterous 5 yrs of the UWP? Kenny left two hospitals one almost completed and the other a an advance stage of implemention UWP AFTER 5 YRS BEARLY COMPLETED ONLY ONE whiles the people suffer for health care. A forensic lab was almost completed, UWP bearly got operating after 5 yrs, whiles the country suffer with unsolved murders. SLP started a 4 lane highway to Gros Islet, UWP stopped it at Choc, with an illiterate Guy playing engineer, etc, etc i could on and onand on. What a wasted 5 yrs, UWP could not or did not attract ONE NEW INVESTMENT INTO THE COUNTRY ina whole term in office, what a shame. Talking about faux pas, Kenny right let him do his faux pas, he is not perfect. UWP had 5 yrs straight of faux pas from day one EVERY WEEK IS ANOTHER SCANDAL. But you want to talk about faux pas. SANS HONTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------
For that to happen, Kenny will have to remain Prime Minister for a very, very long time; while the more developed Caribbean islands (like Martinique, Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad, The Cayman Islands, etc.) go into hibernation.

Were it not for these stupid Haitians, our asses, here in the Caribbean and throughout Latin-America, would still be in slavery today.
We never said thanks; Instead, we hate them and love the Tom Chous of this world.

I am looking forward to the first debate and especially the contributions of the Opposition Leader Mr. King...me honte (lol). The man read from written speeches, and avoided the press for five years. Rick Wayne may come to his aid but once the debate gets heated up in the house NO ONE WILL BE THERE TO HELP HIM...the expectation is that King may shudder in his pants and GUISE HIS ANXIETY AND INEPTNESS BY FAKING like he is signing documents AS WAS CUSTOMARY FOR HIM when he was PM in the house. Someone put a hand please (LOL).

ex pm King had an opportunity to start a totally new project while he was in power. THE HEW. INTL AIRPORT EVEN that he blew up.. he couldnt even start that ... although the airport was always on stlucia 's national projects but uwp took it and began a new venture .. if only EX PM KING did start that maybe one of those days ppl might say lets name the airport after KING..LOLOL..

WE keep putting down the new minister of tourism in place of allen chast.. TELL ME WHAT HAVE ALLEN REALLY ACCOMPLISHED while holding the post for 5 yrs.. i must give him kudoos for really stablizing the continued AIRLIFT the hotels needed to keep hotel rooms occupied BUT APART FROM THAT ..what did he do... AS ANON 6:01 PM said uwp gov did not bring not one project to commencement or completion.. THE VERDICT IS RIFE the whole lot didnt do JACK SH...

Anonymous no #2: You seem in real pain that Allan is no longer the Tourism minister - get on with that; its a fact.

Time for you to think creatively and rely on your abilities, rather than hand outs and favor.

Lorne will do just fine;he is a thinker, educated and smart and most of all, WILLING TO TAKE ADVISE.

Well said, @ 5:22pm? You gotta be kidding. This is an atrocious piece of writing. Almost every sentence is riddled with confusion and contradictions, for example:
"When in opposition or parliamentarians sit in Parliament" ????
" A seemingly annual increase in violent crimes" ????
"That the KA Administration will be closely watched by those who did not want to see it form the Government is a challenge." Why is this a challenge and for whom?
"and while it is understood that no all Manifesto promises can be fulfilled when a political party forms the government that is no excuse for the new government not to fulfil the promises it made on the campaign trail TO BE ENFORCED IN ITS MANIFESTO" ??? Quite apart from the ridiculous sentence structure, this sentence suggests taht the promises made on the campaign trail are not in the SLP's
Manifesto?

How can the SLP put as President of the Senate an individual previously accused of rape. The same person who for 30 years poisoned the political atmosphere with his daily attacks on individuals in this country ?
someone who has contributed nothing but distruction in his daily rantings?

These are the reasons we have no civility left in this country and have started the year with 3 murders already.
The bad boys noy think their people are in power so they can do what thery want.

The patients have taken over the asylum.
