Three cheers for evidenced-based JOURNALISM, instead of the usual fare of run of the mill reporting.

Rochamel, Black Bay, same shit different adminstration. There is nothing to laugh about or to believe that Black Bay was worse than Roachamel or the Rachamel was less than black Bay.

Time to give the country a break from them fellas!!!!!

Do our ministers of finance know the first thing about finance? I think not. So why don't hold the PM position and give way to people who KNOW something about FINANCE. Jokers!!!

One would have thought that King would learn from the mistakes his government claimed about Kenny Anthony. However, he came and did worse. Now that his pocket is filled with Taiwanese millions he shows no shame to walk around in public posing like an Opposition leader...ineffective at best if you were to ask me.

King could not give a press release in 5 years as Leader. He is now trying to fool uwp supporters by spewing out gibbirish and making a fool of himself in public.

UWP is this the best you can do by selecting King as your leader. King has embarrassed us and continues to do so. Place the UWP leadership position in better hands!

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. We should have known that the second fool has no shame in being the leader of a fool's fool in his cabinet of fools.

Governments who refuse to learn by the mistakes of others, should never again hold any position of confidence.

King did not do worse. Both him and Kenny are idiots and they belong in the same boat.

UWP, a party of idiots, for idiots and by idiots.

The is the best piece of journalism ever to come out in the press in St. Lucia. Ever! No ifs, no buts, no maybes!

I am filed with absolute pride that there is a silver lining in the dark cloud of journalistic writing in St. Lucia.

Excellent job Mr. George. Take a bow!

The problem is that the St. Lucia Gov't lacks investment and financial lawyers who understand how to structure these kinds of deals. They depend on the expertise of foreign banks who ofcourse have their lawyers to structure deals that leave them with the least exposure and the host government with a higher degree of exposure. Too many pretend lawyers in St. Lucia.

This comment should make headlines. It is a far cry from the breast-beating nonsense that comes from the likes of the of complete line of idiots so full of puffery that we call talkshow hosts.

Our PMs are full of it. They are absolutely clueless as to the necessary verbiage that goes into such contracts to protect the government and people of St. Lucia.

And these jackass governments and ministers continue to do cut these deals in secret. But the taxpayers and their children's children are left holding he bag when the mess explodes in our faces.

Do you believe that a mere clerk in a lawyer's office would have the knowledge and experience to understand the necessary protective legal terms that must be embedded in such agreements? But we elect him just the same.

Do you believe a bus driver would have the knowledge and experience to supervise the details of an international contract to improve HIA? But we elected one such nincompoop MP who emerged as another post turtle. We know that such idiots do not belong in a parliament.

Do you believe that a knowledge of constitutional law is sufficient to equip one with the knowledge and experience to frame international business contracts with people from countries who can draw on hundreds of years of banking and contracting experience?

That is the depth of the arrogance of stupidity that parades on our political platforms and is on display here by these two prime ministers. With power comes responsibility. The arrogance of stupidity should have no part of this.

He needs a prize for this article. Very mature and balanced.

With reports that $484 million (EC) is urgently needed for invisible capital projects, from the precious UWP indebted government, one wonders, will Interpol be given the opportunity to probe in this conduct for clarity?

Our PMs are playing the ass pretending that they under high rolling finance deals while the rest of us have for their follies.

It is time to put an end to all BS. $103 million dollars going down the drain that taxpayers have to pay for. The blasted millions are not coming from their pockets that is why the idiots can care less. This is enough to turn the Angel Michael into another devil.

I want to see see some resignations and ministers' pensions and salaries garnished to pay for all these grand slams of wanton idiocy. Fools!

I am sure that there are corporate lawyers around the world that St. Lucia can access with an annual retainer fee which would be much less than (EC) $103 million dollars. You might even be able to get one or two in Barbados for that matter.

I think that these egregious mistakes result from an ego problem with Mr. Anthony. King on the other hand, was thrown at the deep end. That pretender never knew what he was supposed to do even today.

These individuals will continue making these silly decisions because they do not face any consequences when these deals blow up. Only the taxpayers lose their money, over and over again. You would think one administration would learn from the mistakes of the other. They keep repeating the mistakes like they're all reading the same idiot's guide to governing. And the poor people continue to suffer.

John Compton was right when he said that Kenny Anthony would have made a good Attorney General with the added assumption that he was not Prime Ministerial material.

We all now know that in St. Lucia. Unfortunately the narcissist Kenny still has his colleagues and some St. Lucians fooled by his massive ego and self confidence but the rest of us know that the imperical evidence has shown his ineptitude to lead this country.

He is plain and simply incompetent.

We are in serious trouble because the heir presumptive to the SLP throne is just as tried , tested and failed in Phillip Pierre. He signed off on Rochamel , Grynsberg and was hand in hand with Menissa Rambally on the NCA fiasco.

Now unfortunately Allan Chastanet , as well intentioned as he was, created his own Rochamel with this Black Bay disaster. Again we have someone with some talent but he needs a controlling hand to guide him properly otherwise he goes off track and spends like a drunken sailor.

Where oh where is our next Sir John ?

No matter how much one may admire Mr. Anthony, the evidence is hitting in the middle of your forehead, that the man is unsuitable to make financial decisions on the massive scale that he has done and is about to to AGAIN! The man has no sense of value when it comes to money!

You cannot tell me that a man who knows so very little or absolutely nothing, or no feel for such issues as: a) the rate of return on investment, b) the time value of money, net present value, and internal rates of return on projects should be making decisions and signing contracts worth tens of MILLIONS of dollars.

Mr. Pierre has never ever been handed over the portfolio of minister of finance. According to cabinet rules if he disagreed with his prime minister on an investment decision, he either had to keep quiet or leave the cabinet. He takes his orders from the PM.

It is absolutely ludicrous for St Lucians to continue of have such square pegs in round holes. Incompetence rules.

Your Mr. Compton was no way any better. That idiot created wealth out of borrowing (a burden to ordinary taxpayers) to create the causeway and went on to hand that on a platter to a foreign-based company.

Compton has never been a nationalist. St. Lucians never featured first in his decisions. As such he is just another one of our jackass politicians. A come-here at that. John Compton remains just another one in our now famous and heavy line-up of dumb idiot PMs. No more of those please! Thanks!

The failure to recognize the sheer leadership talent of Sir John Compton is just another indication of the ability of many St. Lucians to remain woefully ignorant of history.
It is also an indication of our ability to substitute hatred, arrogance and stupidity for common sense and a sense of decency.

We keep wollowing in our ignorance.
