This is a whole lot of back and forth. Tis so true Earl...where were the two key persons who contributed to this historic moment? Indeed, it was a historic moment for St. Lucians and yes indeed for OUR DEAR PIP, who also got a chance to represent us as PM. I am already looking forward to the next leader of the St. Lucia labour Party. Who will it be...could it be Emma or Pip?

Earl:

Is Dr. Robert Lewis still the Minister of Labour????? Where is his name in this article? Where is his praise?

Blogger at 6:41PM, I think the true leaders in this government are Pip and Emma. Our PM appears to be tired of this thing. There is a whole lot of talk now that Fletcher is calling the shots in this government. Is this true? If true, I feel sorry for my government. We are increasingly becoming mince-meat for UWP ridiculists all over St. Lucia. It appears that we (SLP) is in government but the UWP has all the power. UWPees are laughing in our faces in Castries North since they are the holders of major contracts. I truly understand why Dr. Raymond was frustrated since he couldn't help his constituents as he would have loved to, and the reason (He is not the MP). Sorry for us now. Who is to be blamed for this whole mess now?

I am simply embarrassed at this latest mess in my government. Why is that the PM wishes that Dr. Raymond continue to make St.Lucia proud in TCI...aren't we St.Lucians worthy to benefit from the expertise that the PM has boasted about in Dr. Raymond?
It would be interesting to find out if the PM attempted to negotiate or try to convince Dr. Raymond to stay in an effort to place him in a position where his skills could be best utilized.

Dont cry over turned milk--he is only one man who joined the struggle lately. We hv other great talents in st.lucia>His departure cannot affect this strong labour govt.team>Cant u see?

Blogger above, I am a Labourite and you can't convince me that Dr. Raymond is turned milk and his departure cannot affect this labour govt. Dr. Raymond is like none other in the SLP government...he came to make a meaningful contribution, however, it only takes myopic individuals to not see and understand that.

This matter will hang over our heads for a very long time, if not forever. Something tells me that this situation will make a better, more popular politician of Dr. Raymond. I hate to see him go because he represented the man (in the SLP) with the greatest vision for St. Lucia. Dr. Raymond we love you, and that love does not only come from your North Castries Constituents but those across St. Lucia. We are looking forward to great outcomes for you and your speedy return to St.Lucia to represent us again in SLU.
