I have all respect to Mr. Bergasse. I disagree however that arbitration is the way to go. Kenny is simply playing stinking politics and being vindictive and may I kindly ask the Chamber to make a statement on the multi-millions that recently went down the Government Treasury drain such as :-
Roachmel more the forty million National Conservation Authority NCA The Helenites Building in New-York; the multi-million cost over-runs on Road works; GRENBERG.
I believe with a President with the good reputation as Mr. Bergasse, the Chamber of Commerce can play its role as a watch-dog for the lavish spending of Governments; and assist in stemming corruption in Governments.
Over to you, Mr. President. Like your father before you, you stand up for what is right, fair and decent.
Your task is a very difficult one indeed. Because the politicians in St. Lucia are neither fair, just or decent. Honest? That's for another show.
Mr. Gerard Bergasse is very good for this position, especially for such a time as this.
We here in St. Lucia have not had such a decent, honest and straight-talking man to head this Organization since we last had in the person of Mr. Ornan Monplaisir. God rest his soul.
It appears that once more the Chamber of Commerce can gain some respect. Bravo.

Above:
You may have forgotten the Canelles Bay land debacle. I believe that is more recent than the others you have listed.
The Headline should have read :St. Lucia's Chamber of Commerce Statement on the Public Service Impasse.
After all the Chamber is an important Institution in this land.

Blogger above. I agree with that observation.
The Chamber of Commerce for too long was held with great suspicion and distrust.
