Fair enough, Mr. Fedee, however, your normal foresightedness is missing in this piece. Any St. Lucian should realize that Alva's performance had very little to do with actually, at present, preventing Chastenet from becoming Prime Minister through fair or foul means. Alva was very intelligently "marking his territory" within the SLP as Kenny Anthony's successor; not as long as the Leader of leaders is alive or the Labour Party exists but "Over Alva's dead body" Chastenet will be PM(reference Absalom strengthening his Kingship by sleeping with his father's concubines for all to see). The one acceptable and off course legitimate way to prevent Chastenet from becoming PM is for someone else to become PM. If Alva believes that a Chastenet led UWP cannot defeat an Alva led SLP then he must first achieve leadership of the SLP in order to forestall Chastenet. For that to happen he must strengthen his claim to the SLP leadership WITH THE DELEGATES by becoming at once and for the future Chastenet's NEMESIS.

Is this the new diplomatic languge:
"only over my dead body"
As a minister of foreign affairs and as a diplomat, St.Lucians could expect a more educated language and self control.
