On Being Left Behind

The currently most glaring SQUARE PEG IN ROUND HOLE is that of BERNARD LA CORBINIERE placed at the St. Lucia Development Bank as its Managing Director,

What a bolldy mess and a bloody shame.

If only we could have ALL of those already elected, and those hopefuls and would-be MPs, read and understand the learning points from our own Sir Arthur Lewis. Just the rudiments of his transformation and developmental theories tweaked to take into consideration today's realities would make a marked difference in the understanding of our many buffoons who keep on repeating ad nauseam, 'Mr. Speaker', 'Mr. Speaker', as if this were a substitute for intelligent thought.

The current and most glaring SQUARE PEG IN A VERY ROUND HOLE; is that of BERNARD LA CORBINIERE placed in the position of General Manager of the SAINT LUCIA DEVELOPMENT BANK.

This I fully agree is a classical case of a round peg in a very square hole.

Bamboh has a socialist leaning. To me that is very, very incompatible with the transformative perspective that is driving even today's People's Republic of China. Besides, it is not at all clear that Bamboh's studies equips him to do developmental banking. The authorities have to convince us that this is not a sinecure.

Where was Venner these past twenty-five years at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank?

We heard not a damn word from you. Massive turnover of staff at the ECCB.

Now that the International Monetary Fund exposed the nakedness of the condition of the Financial System of the OECS at their Bridgetown, Barbados Press Briefing; Venner all over de damn place; like a hot iron in he behind; running here and there; talking crap.

Twenty years at the ECCB and not a damn value added to the development of the sub-region.

Time to retire. Let a fresh brain take the reins of the ECCB.

We have no politician with either an innate knowledge or deep understanding of economics. The role of the central bank is to devise and control monetary policy and NOT the overall developmental policy of each of these SEPARATE political units or countries.

Vennor, to all intents and purposes can mainly ACT IN AN ADVISORY CAPACITY. He can mouth it. Our clueless ignorant politicians only care about borbol and winning the next elections to put more borbol in place.

We elected a veritable gang of thieves for a cabinet, passing for government last time around. Compton brought in a khaki-coloured buffoon as icing on the cake.

Do you believe that Vennor could have stopped them? Even out of power, we had an unelected perp egging on scumbags to engage in a near riot on a bridge in Soufriere.

If we keep on electing real country bookies in exchange for a little rum, corn beef or chicken legs and music good enough for confounded retards like themselves, what the hell else do expect to happen economically?

Garbage in, garbage out. Nothing useful can come from such idiots. Such scumbags only know how to thrive on borbol.

You, November 02, @ 6:30 PM, are not being fair to Vennor. Or, you are just clueless about the role and interaction between our governments and that of the ECCB in managing our economies.

It is much more complicated, and rises to a much higher level than most of the sh t talk of our favourite jackasses and buffoons on the talk shows as hosts and contributors will ever rise to.

Do we know or care about what is really critically important to our future? NOT IF WE KEEP ON LISTENING TO OUR SO MANY CONFOUNDED JACKASS TALK SHOWS.
