Preacher:

do you think that when God/Allah says he created the Earth in six days it means 24hr x 6 = 144 hours ??

Did you know that when the earth was first formed it was a ball of molten elements. Elements that were formed in the distant Galaxy and dispersed with a Super Nova.

Why don't you believe in evolution, when you begun life as a tiny sperm, then evolved into a leech, then your bones were formed then clothed with flesh then you became a baby.

anyway when the Earth was first formed a day was only six hours, three hours night and three hours day. the revolution of earth was several thousands miles per hour. today it is 1033 MPH. A day on earth is not the same as a day on Neptune and the day of judgement is fifty thousand years long.

Surah Al-Maarij
In the name of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful.

A questioner questioned concerning the doom about to fall (1)
Upon the disbelievers, which none can repel, (2)
From Allah, Lord of the Ascending Stairways (3)
(Whereby) the angels and the Spirit ascend unto Him in a Day whereof the span is fifty thousand years. (4)
But be patient (O Muhammad) with a patience fair to see. (5)
Lo! they behold it afar off (6)
While we behold it nigh: (7)
The day when the sky will become as molten copper, (8)
And the hills become as flakes of wool, (9)
And no familiar friend will ask a question of his friend (10)
Though they will be given sight of them. The guilty man will long to be able to ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children (11)
And his spouse and his brother (12)
And his kin that harboured him (13)
And all that are in the earth, if then it might deliver him. (14)
But nay! for lo! it is the fire of hell (15)
Eager to roast; (16)
It calleth him who turned and fled (from truth), (17)
And hoarded (wealth) and withheld it. (18)
Lo! man was created anxious, (19)
Fretful when evil befalleth him (20) And, when good befalleth him, grudging; (21)
Save worshippers. (22)
Who are constant at their worship (23)
And in whose wealth there is a right acknowledged (24)
For the beggar and the destitute;(25)
And those who believe in the Day of Judgment, (26
And those who are fearful of their Lord's doom - (27) Lo! the doom of their Lord is that before which none can feel secure - (28) And those who preserve their chastity (29) Save with their wives and those whom their right hands possess, for thus they are not blameworthy; (30) But whoso seeketh more than that, those are they who are transgressors; (31) And those who keep their pledges and their covenant, (32) And those who stand by their testimony (33) And those who are attentive at their worship. (34) These will dwell in Gardens, honoured. (35) What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed, (36) On the right and on the left, in groups? (37) Doth every man among them hope to enter the Garden of Delight? (38) Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know. (39) But nay! I swear by the Lord of the rising-places and the setting-places of t

Surah Al-Kahf
And (remember) the Day We shall cause the mountains to pass away (like clouds of dust), and you will see the earth as a levelled plain, and we shall gather them all together so as to leave not one of them behind. (47) And they will be set before your Lord in (lines as) rows, (and Allâh will say): "Now indeed, you have come to Us as We created you the first time. Nay, but you thought that We had appointed no meeting for you (with Us)." (48) And the Book (one's Record) will be placed (in the right hand for a believer in the Oneness of Allâh, and in the left hand for a disbeliever in the Oneness of Allâh), and you will see the Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners), fearful of that which is (recorded) therein. They will say: "Woe to us! What sort of Book is this that leaves neither a small thing nor a big thing, but has recorded it with numbers!" And they will find all that they did, placed before them, and your Lord treats no one with injustice. (49) And (remember) when We said to the angels;"Prostrate yourselves unto Adam." So they prostrated themselves except Iblîs (Satan). He was one of the jinn; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you then take him (Iblîs) and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the exchange for the Zâlimûn (polytheists, and wrong-doers). (50) I (Allâh) made them (Iblîs and his offspring) not to witness (nor took their help in) the creation of the heavens and the earth and not (even) their own creation, nor was I (Allâh) to take the misleaders as helpers (51) And (remember) the Day He will say:"Call those (so-called) partners of Mine whom you pretended." Then they will cry unto them, but they will not answer them, and We shall put Maubiq (barrier) between them. (52) And the Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners), shall see the Fire and apprehend that they have to fall therein. And they will find no way of escape from there. (53) And indeed We have put forth every kind of example in this Qur'ân, for mankind. But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything. (54)

Surah Adh-Dhariyat

With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof. (47)

Hubble had discovered that the universe was expanding. The space between stars and galaxies is constantly growing larger. Such a finding was actually predicted a few years earlier, after Einstein published his equations of General Relativity, which govern the properties of space-time. The equations showed that it was impossible for the universe to remain static; it had to either expand or contract. Though Einstein himself didn’t initially believe the universe could expand, Hubble’s data soon convinced everyone that it was.
