The Stephenson King Misfire

That's right, Pat. In St Lucia, the name "CHASTANET", especially to the poor and marginalized (which forms almost 90% or more of the population) is synonymous with GREED, OVER PRICED SUPERMARKETS GOODS, ARROGANT AND ABOVE ALL, CANNOT IDENTIFY WITH THE LAY PEOPLE. Coupled with what he, Chastanet, and his gang of vipers, did to King.

Sympathy for King, alone, will do him in and rightfully so, Sue-cerre!! (Ezekiel; tell your master what that is in Creole).

Sacre bleu ! These broadsides are reminiscent of the naval exchanges in the battles over Fair Helen for the sea lane perch of Pigeon Island and the natural super protective deep harbors at Castries and Marigot.

Seems like one is safer plying the sea lanes traversed by Henry Morgan et al as they ravage galleons bound for Seville, oui?.

At this rate and intensity of fusillade, UWP might as well run up the international flag of surrender, non?

When a man like Pat Brown can find good things to say about King and Frederick then you know the world is coming to an end. After is this not the same King who was recently decried as being academically naked? And is this not the same Frederick who was once described as the worst thing to happen in politics in St. Lucia?

8:15 AM Pat, on this one, got it all wrong. He must admit.

This is to be expected. To be consistently inconsistent is an expected characteristic of political bias.

5:15, Do you have to regurgitate the insults of your slave masters as a medal of honour? Stop this degrading insult to the beautiful Black women of Lucia - this Fair Helen Kaka Chien.

Why would any Black-a-Lucian interpret being told he or she is as beautiful as a cow, Or as beautiful as a Pale-skinned Greek Pagan, as complementary? Mr. 5:15 you look so handsome you look like you're White; did you like that? Perhaps; judging from this fair Helen crap.

I condemn the use of the term “Fair Helen” as the standard of beauty for the island of Lucia with a 99.99% of people of African ancestry. This is an example of the brainwashing and mis-education that afflicts the so-called Negro-acolyte of white supremacy who does not think with his own mind, but thinks with the mind of his white Slave Master.

If someone came to me saying, “You look so handsome; you look like you're white”. Do you think I would accept this as a compliment? You know the answer. Why is it then you accept this insult, “Fair Helen” as a badge of honour? How would you feel saying, “Black Helen” as a compliment? The answer lies in the manner your slave-masters acclimated you into this world of white supremacy.

@ 8:59 wrong about what?

I'll tell you mis-educated something you remain ignorant to; The Greatest leader of humanity was illiterate,

It is self-evident that Pat's honesty soars high above the critters burdened and blinded from truth because of Party Affiliation. I too saw Richard Frederick soar to the heights of Eagles, prompting me to ask, what crime has he committed, causing Negroes to think he is too Black-a-Lucian to be Prime Minster??

You Self-hating Samboes need to stop this Fair Helen disgraceful behavior.

@ 9:54 AM, in the figment of your imagination, your God made it so, in order to cleanse the world, with the primeval savagery that has plagued the world since then?

Sure Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade 100,000,000, dead. Americas encounters European Genocide of Arawak, Mayan, Astez, 100,000,000 dead. North American Peoples/Indians 75,000,000 dead. World War-1, 100,000,000 dead, WW-2 150,000,000 dead, Vietnam, Laos, Korea, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Libya, Congo, Panama, Grenada, Nicaragua - I'm getting tired - the work of your Slave Master Christian, but this might help you:

Under the reign of terror instituted by King Leopold II of Belgium (who ran the Congo Free State as his personal fief from 1885 to 1908), the population of the Congo was reduced by half -- as many as 60 million Africans lost their lives.
Some were beaten or whipped to death for failing to meet the rigid production quotas for ivory and rubber harvests, imposed by Leopold's agents. Some were worked to death, forced to labor in slave
like conditions as porters, rubber gatherers or miners for little or no pay.
Some died of the diseases introduced to (and spread throughout) the Congo by Europeans. And still others died from the increasingly frequent famines that swept the Congo basin as Leopold's army rampaged through the countryside, appropriating food and crops for its own use while destroying villages and fields.

In all Fairness to Helen is what the term as used by intellectuals versed on the subject of the imperial Argamemnon dynasty- with its opposing forces as represented by Achilles-Hector in the epic Greek drama over Troy. Fairness as 'free to follow the freedom of your heart's response to true love as opposed to being subjected to the contrived varietal with its lusty aspirations' the character traits Justice -true love - is what is referenced when intellectuals use the phrase 'Fair Helen".

As you can recount Helen fell in love with one who loved her even more than life itself-BUT alas she belonged / was promised in marriage to someone else (kinda reminds you of those Indian (i.e, the subcontinent) arranged marriages -wherein a girl is given away -dowry paid - at the ripe old age of puberty!) .
King Argamemnon (ya the same one associated with Freud's Oedipus Complex- wherein the coming of age boy's fantasy is to replace dad as mom's ..well fill in the gaps-no pun intended.
I appreciate the pseudo clamor evoking Stokely Carmichael but the dredging of Eldridge's black panthers over a Greek drama whose sole purpose bespeaks CHARACTER TRAITS as in Fairness (Justice) is quite o'er the top.

Intellectuals refer to the fairness of Helen BECAUSE she followed LOVE (humanity) over the imperial order of power (Material glut .)

Remember there was for her and in her time a godess called Venus- The royalty of her day -of which Helen was a major member enshrined themsellves in their beliefs- whether we label it as pagan is an obtuse outside subjective view.
These folks, Helen et al were willing to die in their commitment to JUSTICE in the form of TRUE LOVE- unlike our current machismo cro magnons who bid adieu after their first pitiful ejaculatory salutations in some flea motel.

As they say beauty is only skin deep. However, lets get it right when intellectuals refer to "Fair Helen" -we are referring to a character trait that is rarer than platinum today- True Justice - TRUE LOVE COMMITMENT ENOUGH TO KNOWINGLY DIE FOR. That is why she is the Helen of the West and some of us will - like Hector fight against machoistic demi gods like Achilles-
I hope we have never to revisit this lexicon blunder again- it has been trivial pursuit you see.

There are many on both sides odf the race card histrionics who tell their daughters "whatever you do -do not bring a ____(fill in the race ) boy home. That may be acceptable from a current societal- economical view but here is the rub (oozing with hypocrisy) some of those same fathers 's will insist (@ their gentleman's club or lap dance stri bar on paying for the personal pleasures of a girl in the "other " race they have just condemned at home.

Like the OJAY /Cochran race card LUST crosses all racial divides- beware your zipper dont pull down (Jagger /Richards Get yer Ya Yas Out) when next you run into a statuesque Blue Eyed Scandinavian Bomshell.
Hey she may overwhelm your satiation for racial retribution. After all an Angela Davis or Maya Angelou would be too strong a black woman for your -come on :) N'est pas?

Finally, this is my OBJECTIVE take on the race debate. THE Universal DIVINE created variety among all species -ALL HAVE REBELLED_ as in sinned- even power hungry angels in in his loftiest ascendancy- SO WHAT! (Miles Davis)

To return to more substantive issues other skin pigmentation, King's best days were a long way behind him. He may have managed to "herd the cats" in his party to a certain extent, to put it charitably. However, he was neither a very successful nor a spectacular national leader.

There is hardly anything that distinguishes him or his time as titular head of the UWP, other than the chaos and the misadventure of his cabinet colleagues all with hands caught in the virtual "cookie jar". The Appellate Court in its decision and ruling alluded to this.

No matter how much you may wish to twist it or turn it, unless there is superior court challenge, the ruling still stands. Wonder why some regional umbrella bodies will not touch some politicians with a ten-foot barge poll? Still wondering why some are so desperately unemployable, unless ignorant voters give them a pass to take them further down the garden path again, as the chief fox guarding the caged chickens?

Yea, the Atlantic slave trade is a bottom dweller in the abyss of extremely low moral /ethical points in human existence. But tooting the race card of extreme retribution is flawed by its glaring bias- failure to mention / discuss the complicity of blacks and their arab cohorts in contributing to the supply side of a zealous distribution network-

Slavery and all its atrocities was a fact on every continent -save Antarctica but our Carbon footprint is working on it :(
Actually, the Roman Empire version was less harsh than Pharoh's. A jet black skinned slave could actually earn or buy his her freedom via skill or exemplary service- and live in the city of Rome freely. However, in Egypt, the Hebrews needed direct intervention from God to ESCAPE from slavery.

The race card panthers fail to footnote that black inter tribal rivalries resulted in excessive slave pools -just ripe for sale to the nouveau entit of armed bedouins and their opportunistic black slave peddlers. Conveniently, we persecute only the demand side of the Euro colonizers for the trade when it would help modern blacks to understand the broad field of circumstances especially the supply side.

It behooves one of African heritage to understand any roles Africans played in the slave trade; the condition of Africa as a political -economical entity at the time of the slave trade. The Euro side is like so simple that it cannot help to fully understand the whole picture -by itself. The euro standpoint of maximizing profits- slaves as a commodity is cut and dry- too simple. Beating a loud drum on that moral decay does not help me to deal with the present reality of MISTRUST among the survivors of these tormented blacks -that blacks bemoan openly if not profusely. Research and respectful discussions on the cultural dynamics of equatorial /sub Saharan Africa surrounding the epoch of the Atlantic slave trade is far more complex and soul searching and offers greater promise of soulful liberation from the agonizing reality of the Middle Passage. Shall we talk-openly-FAIRly? C'est le question!

Here is metaphor in the making> Fair Helen as in Justice & True love- begat many talented Sons an daughters-
but how many -if any, will dare to return to the teeming quagmire (visions of the TET offensive) to offer her qualitative stature - that she deserves.
Better to grin and bear it in Tory England or eat crow in redneck Florida.
We must support those who stay to make a change- against all odds

Pat brown must definitely be going senile. To think he described King as faithful to Sir John.Surely, pat must know that when Sir john contested the leadership position upon his return to active politics king did not support him.He then worked his way back (snake- like fashion)into Sir john,s confidence.Crocodile tears shed by kenny and his supporters.Where were those tears for julian hunte who was one of their own or for Dr Ubaldus raymond?
If king and frederick believe that they are so popular that they do not need the party then, resign their seats, forcing two bye-elections.AS sure as night follows day as long as both parties contest these elections neither Frederick nor King will retain their seats. They know that, and that is why those cowards will keep their positions but continue to throw red meat which the SLp gleefully pick up and use to distract St Lucians from the real important issues killing the country.EG.24.5%unemployment.
Do like SARAH Flood. If you cannot or will not work with your party members, executive and general council, leave and seek your own mandate, because the one you currently have was achieved as a uwp candidate.
MAN UP AND SEEK YOUR OWN MANDATE,YOU COWARDS.

Earth gets a close encounter Monday evening as an asteroid as big as three football fields whizzes by at 27,000 mph.

The asteroid isn't a threat — it will miss the Earth by 2 million miles. Dubbed 2000 EM26, it's about 885 feet in diameter

Earthlings can watch the fly-by on Slooh.com beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
