This is definitely not the final straw to break the camel's back. Unfortunately the tragic killing of Coporal Peters marks the genesis of another level of violence which is targeted at the Government officials, Politicians, Attorneys, and the elite who are being sustained and protected by a selfish system who don't care about the poor and shelterless only using them as pawns in their political process to get elected.
These young people in the depressed areas grew up to observing their parents and those around them being neglected while politicians and the people who endorse and protect them live extravagant lifestyles and some with concubines (Jabals) right in their faces in the ghettos. There are young politicians right here in St lucia who have more assets (accumulated wealth) than they have ligitimately aquired in employment and inheritance and no one investigates them.
You are correct when you say this course of action is synonymous to the way crime started in Jamaica Trinidad etc., and should seek assistance from their Police Departments, but crime is also escalating in these countries and the authorities have their hands full.
People of Jamaica, Trinidad, Guyana and other larger societies have got used to living alongside violent crime and not to far from now it will be the norm in St Lucia.
let us show law breaking criminals that this is no joke, this government means business we will not compromise with then we have had it, let us introduce the DREAD ACT like in Dominica. WHEN YOU BKEAR THE LAW CUT AND TRIM, A SOLID BEATING, AND INTO THE KABOUS.
the red ssu skin officer that is now the prime ministers body guard, let him lead a task team, i know he is the right man for the job. as a ras i have seen him in action he knows how to deal with law breaker, because these young thugs spoiling the rasta movement.
