Do you not have any better pictures of these old men ?

Anonymous said...

Are these people from England or Canada or St. Croix ?

Deal with the substance of the message. Stop the petty politics. St Lucia is going to the dogs if we are not careful.

Anonymous said...

Great ideas. Unfortunately those who long to be at the helm whilst on the outside suffer from an acute case of priministamnesia.

Anonymous said...

Have these old men from England booked tickets yet to come talk to us youth ?

Anonymous said...

And tell McDonald to bring some hamburgers.

They have hamburgers in England ?

Anonymous said...

Remember it not prudent to eat hamburgers.
Too much fat.

Anonymous said...

Prudent can wrap the hamburger meat in the pages of his book he can't sell, that he keeps in the basement. That will drain off the fat.

He can then replace it with the fat off the land if he plays his political cards right.

Those two guys are unrealistic. If you're too good to be on the Island then you're too elite for us. We don't want remote control politicians.

Anonymous said...

Some of these comments are disgusting and unwarranted!!! Way to go St Lucians. Idle hands and empty brains always finds a need for mischief.

Anonymous said...

"Remote control politicians".

Actually you mean: "Remote control campaigning".

What a bunch of jokers.

Anonymous said...

"Jokers" or not I applaud their effort. St Lucia needs more like the LPM. In this stink hole society which is rottening at the core perhaps we need 10 more additional parties to speak to the youths. The more the merrier and hopefully more effective.

Anonymous said...

Just because you do not agree with someone's comments? You above are a sorry excuse for a human being.

Anonymous said...

You are not Saint Lucian and that's why you damn our country.

Anonymous said...

I agree with the comment before this one. Civility is lacking.

Picture this. Reality bites. A drug dealer and criminal meets with a minister of government on Radio. The minister tells the criminal I know you may have participated in murder and other henious crimes. The criminal does not deny. It's like no big deal.

It is an inconvenient truth too much for some apologist to stomach.

Anonymous said...

Just like politicians who ask criminals to give citizens a break for Christmas.
Then the politician even in the House of Assembly denies he said that.
Then he loses elections and the tape of him asking criminals to give the citizens a break is shown on nationwide tlelvision.

An inept incompetent liar was running the country.

And during that period over 200 St. Lucians are murdered as crime escalates.

Now the shoe is on the other foot and the incompetents of yesterday are casigating the incompetents of today.

Then remote control campaigners who also want to feed at the trough start to give advise on how to control crime from whereever they are.

What a joke. We sure have fallen far from the John Compton era.

There are no answers for St. Lucia because all the politicians have the same philosophy and mindset.

At least pre Independedce even the most destitute among us has a certain grace, set of manners and a belief in some moral grounding.

Now it is all about mendicancy from Ministers to their supporters. It is about what I can get and no one is willing to make the hard choices or hard decisions.

Quite frankly on the law and order situation they all DO NOT HAVE THE ANSWERS or they are AFRAID of implementing the actual program that is required to bring safety to our people.

Anonymous said...

Bravo! Not one of our politicians could have said it better. Kudos! There is a silver lining in the ominously dark cloud that looms over our heads, thanks to sane minded people like you.

Anonymous said...

Remote politicians can stay where are because gone are the days when massa would live abroad and control things. You want to effect change, then bring your butts over.

Anonymous said...

they

Anonymous said...

Other than repeating your silly mantra of remote politicians. Do you have a strategy to stop them? Why don't you begin by blocking the airwaves. Build a wall around the country. Keep watch for 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

My advise: Keep watch for 24 hours and 7 days a week. Make sure you inform Juke Bois of their plans to invade your country. Begin a troop build up to keep them out. Cut out the water supply so they won't get to shower if and when they land. Biff up security because St Lucia is under attack.

LOL....LOL

STFU...loser

Leave the guys alone and let them come down to campaign. Nothing to lose, and something to gain.

Anonymous said...

Last contribution on spot.

I don't understand all the fuss to deny nationals who were born and bread in St Lucia the right to participate in the political life of the their own country. Outsiders??? Who are the outsiders? Is this a case of mistaken identity here??

Behave yourself.!!!! You are not obligated to support them and you do not speak for the rest of us. Once they are able to prove that they are St Lucians it is their alienable right to campaign remotely or directly.

Grow up.

There is another blog that has turned into a masturbatory exersize. The contributors spending their time discussing LPM and some website they have put out.
How the mighty have fallen.

My parents are from St Lucia and very patriotic, they keep persuading me, my brothers and sisters to read about what's going on in their homeland St Lucia. We do, for were brought up to listen and obey our parents. We were also taught to speak French Creole. We have visited St lucia three times and we all love this place but the reality is 90% of the comments we read on the two major newspapers and what we listen to online on the radio stations makes us come to the conclusion that the people are serious about the problems facing the country and some are making a joke out of the issues with sacarstic, ludicrous, absurd and pathetic remarks like some of these on this page(for Example "Do you have better pictures of these old men.") and the sad part of it all is while the earth keeps turning these obstructionists keep rationalizing their incongruous rhetoric which lacks a foundation

St Croix Lucian said...

I feel really bad for my people. St Lucia this is the year 2010 People all over the world are reading this. How can you say stuff like "Remember it not prudent to eat hamburgers.
Too much fat?" when we are discussing serious issues to help change the course this tiny island of sea water and sand (Chalkdust quote) is persuing. These few characters behaviors are annoying and disgraceful.

If McDonalds bringing hamburgers .... can she bring me a BIGMAC with double cheese ?

Anonymous said...

Some St Lucians do not want any thing good for the country.People are dying daily and issues of crime and safety turns to hamburgers and Mcdonalds. Useless haping is what I see here.

It's all about politics in St.Lucia; the UWP people are threatened by a new Political party. Or maybe they are satisfied with the way their administration is handling the crime situation in the country. We St.Lucians living away looking back into our country see a lack of leadership in the country. This is why these men are willing to come back home to help. Besides; St.Lucia needs all the help it can get in this global economic crisis.

Anonymous said...

The reason why they are afraid is because UWP has the most to lose with a new party with Prudent involve. They are running scared because they see UWP votes going to LPM. They see a danger sign in front of them and this is why even if they say they not scared they are peeing in their pants.

When one stands extremely close to an object or image it is kinda difficult to get a vivid focus, it is looks fuzzy, blurred and double visioned. As you backup away from the oblect you gradually begin to see a clearer picture.
The St Lucians who do not reside in St Lucia and have not divorced themselves from the every day activities and issues of their homeland have grown to to love their country 100% more than they did before leaving and being distant from the country/object are able to see a clearer picture which eliminates double vision. They have the advantage to compare the qualities of life of the citizens of the developed foreign countries where they have now been transplanted to that of the citizens of St Lucia; they also are aware of their individual rights as citizens and are fully educated about mandatory services like Education, Public Safety and more offered by Government and the resposibilities of their District Representatives to ensure these services are met and hold these representatives responsible when things get messed up.
Post scholastic education is essencial in a society. That is using the Government's Public Relations apparatus to educate the population of the functions and resposibilities of Government. Without transparency and adequate education there can't be an educated electorate and the politicians can easily manipulate and mislead the people with empty promises.
The most important feature of what I am saying and I hope I am being interpreted correctly is:- St Lucians abroad are able to distinguish good leadership in St Lucia from mediocrity with the experience they have aquired while residing in developed foreign demorcracies to the advantage of some of their home based counterparts who make up the electorate.

Ras

Don't even let Joke Bois hear you say that. From what I have been hearing this man has a vicious bias against St Lucians overseas. According to Joke Bois once you leave St Lucia you don't count. Call it ignorant but its what he has been feeding to some of the people. LOL

Ras Creation said...

If it is really true that Juke Bois has a vicious bias against Foreign Based St Lucians he is lacking the knowledge, umderstanding, and education of this specific issue...and I repeat "THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE"... If he really has a vicious bias against St Lucians overseas that's all good with him but he is demonstating his unpatriotism. (The National Anthem states "WHEREVER YOU MAY ROAM LOVE O LOVE YOUR ISLAND HOME")
Feeding this gabbage to some gullible St Lucians is counterproductive which is defined as producing problems or difficulties instead of helping to achieve a goal.
John Compton, George Mallet, George Odlum, Winston Cenac, Vaughan Lewis, Kenny Anthony, Allan Louisy, Velon John, Garnet Gorden, Laureates Derek Walcott and Sir Arthur Lewis and many other prominent St Lucians too numerous to mention were all at one time foreign based St Lucians. Isn't this enough proof to verify the fact that if this is how this man really feels about his fellow St Lucians who left our shores for a better life and education to return and help their people, this man definitely lacks the education and understanding of this SPECIFIC ISSUE? I am right now borrowing a phrase from Mr.Peter Josie, Juke Bois needs 'Intellectual Stimulation.'

Juk Bois is the poster child for over the top ignorance in StLucia. That guy has deluded himself into believing that he knows best and a select few are buying into his ego stroking crap.

Anonymous said...

I could not have said it better!

Anonymous said...

Living in a foreign land does not make one qualified.

Ras, you need new glasses.

Anonymous said...

Is Juke Bois qualified to talk junk?

Maybe we are being feed too much cacabeth in the country.

Juke Bois? Choops!

as a uwp hack i welcome you all to st lucia needless to say that we are all interested to know what your agenda may be and how will you change the dynamics of politics here in our country, and bring back our pride, moral, principle, etc. most of all jobs, crime, and international investment.
