Is the present taxi structure beneficial?

Do the taxi drivers have their rates clearly printed as well.
Visitor may prefer to have some degree of certainty of the cost of a service. Almost certainly, the tour operators have all their rates clearly listed out.
I don't know about taxi rates but I consider many of the tour prices to be exhorbitant, which is why I skip them altogether and rent a vehicle. However one taxi service that is curiously absent is a water taxi from Vieux Fort to the Castries and ports in between for people arriving at Hewannora Airport - for many it would be preferrable to the long and tumultuous drive to the Castries, not to mention the spectacular scenery along the west coast.
