Thank you Harry and all those who paved the road for us. I never knew that the Tilapia was named after Harry, that we won't forget. We need to know more about our history.
Gracious, what an interesting bit of history. I too grew up in Vieux-Fort and remember "Atkinson" being a staple on our plates.

Sammy Gage gave me my first packet of starlights for christmas back there at the beausejour agricultural station,when my father was agricultural officer there.
men like Sammy Gage ,Swithen Schouten,Stan Mullings were all my mentors,together with my father.
Then followed agricultural stalwarts like Matthews,Hennicart,Patrick Isaac Francis Leonce,and the great Doc himself...Doctor Edsil Edmunds. etc,etc.We have super heroes,lets honour them.
I now own,debt free, thousands of acres of property growing tons of food here in Brasil.All based on the foundation that these men gave me,and taught me,before I went on to pursue a Masters in Agriculture.
Thanks to my father and these early stalwarts I eh starvin.

How you mean leave Josie alone? We elected Josie in 1979. He and his gang mash up the duely elected government, resulting in allowing the same rejected government to be back in office. That is a direct result for us to ending up with somebody like King to be our PM today and all his bunch of incompitend ministers, some of them with criminal records.
