Published on Saturday, January 30, 2010

FORT LAUDERDALE, USA -- Porthole Cruise Magazine, the leading North American consumer magazine in the field, has named Saint Lucia the Best Caribbean Island for 2010.

In the magazine's Editor-In-Chief's 2010 Awards, Saint Lucia received the number one selection, while Soufrière's Jade Mountain was named the Best Caribbean Resort.

Saint Lucia's Pitons & Caribbean Sea
"With its dramatic scenery, rich history and vibrant culture, Saint Lucia truly is a Caribbean gem," said Bill Panoff, publisher and editor-in-chief of the Fort Lauderdale-based magazine. "You can never forget your first sight of Saint Lucia's majestic Pitons rising from the sea. With its many attributes, Saint Lucia is poised to develop even more as a major cruise destination in the eastern Caribbean."

Senator Allen Chastanet, Saint Lucia's Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, said "this recognition tells us we are moving in the right direction. We have made strong progress in improving our cruise tourism product, and continue to work towards ensuring our visitors have the best experience."

Congratulating Jade Mountain for chalking up yet another accolade that puts Saint Lucia on the map, Chastanet added: "We have set a goal to become a marquee tourism destination in the Caribbean, and these world class recognitions confirm that we are right on track."

From cover to cover, Porthole Cruise Magazine features expertly written, sophisticated cruise and travel editorial for savvy consumers worldwide. Seasoned travel writers feature stories, opinions, tips, and insights into the places they go and adventures they experience. Writers and columnists cover everything from the latest trends in cruise travel to ship reviews, cuisine, popular culture and entertainment, luxury travel tips, and humor.

The Saint Lucia accolades appear in the magazine's February 2010 edition, which is currently available on newsstands across North America

Your first sentence is so long I can't read any further.
You really think people want to read your pseudointelligent diatribe of drivel (I'm being polite)?
Shut up and write something we can read! You're intoxicated with your own importance.

I know of a few things Josie has accomplished. First, he was a one of Sir John's puppets; yes, those he knew he could outsmart, to achieve his selfish political desires. Secondly he kicked himself in the ass in Vieux-Fort in the infamous t-shirt kicking rally then he used to the banana farmers strikes to satisfy his sick twisted pleasures; I've said it before and I'll say it again. Josie is a narcissistic psychopath!

It's just a ploy to divert people's attention from the real issues plaguing the country.

Josie, you have you turn in the political education and decision making and most of all the opportunity to have derail the likes of Compton, too King. Now bear we us, because I know you and your politics very well, and chill, for the sake of a renewed hemisphere and the materialization of a new order, locally, regionally and internationally, kindly recalibrate your membrane.

The likes of Allan Chastanet being imposed on the people of Soufriere by sections of the party and Cabinet, and the “Elites” of Soufriere, without any input from the Constituency branch and the grass roots uwp’s in Soufriere is alarming and dangerous.

It is becoming harder for the “elite” to hide the true intention of what they are doing, which is to centralize power into fewer hands, destroying sovereignty and creating an authoritarian system.

We are returning this nation to colonial conditions where common people again struggle for rule against a government beholden to its corporate sponsors. I have to wonder: Are we now witnessing the end of democracy?

Further, we lie in waiting to provide political suicide and an end to systemic violations and conspiracy in an attempt to make Allen Chastanet the next prime minister, Soufriere will not be the scape goat, we have been forgotten for too long leave us alone. There are currently two other prospective candidate material capable of winning the seat without fan fare, yet the party apparatus is stalemating and destroying the constitutional process spearing no expense, allowing Chastanet to blow and breath is own exhaust.

Our patience in Soufriere is intrinsic. We’ve always known and continue to live our place in history. PJ hope to see you and all those who are now discovering Soufriere.

We welcome all. TOURISM IS OUR BUSINESS.
